An article on Wikipedia gives the record for most children in one family:

Feodor Vassilyev (Russian: Фёдор Васильев) (1707–1782) was a peasant from Shuya, Russia. Though not noteworthy himself, his first wife (whose name is unknown) set the record for most children birthed by a single woman. She gave birth to total of 69 children; however, few other details are known of her life, such as her date of birth or death. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 births. 67 of the 69 children born survived infancy

This is totally crazy to me! I wonder how this could even happen? I mean, in today's world of Fertility Treatments, multiples are becoming more common, but in the 18th century to have this many multiples seems so impossible. Especiall the fact that she never had any single births.

That sounds really interesting, but it is on Wikipedia and I take everything from there with a grain of salt....

Could you imagine finding 69 (well 67 names you really love?????)

Ahhh! New idea for a game!
