My brother William had a best friend growing up named Scott. 5 years ago,he got married to his high school sweetheart, Emmalee, and they moved to Texas. Well, obviously Texas inspired them when it came to naming their children. They have identical twin girls, a 3 year old son, & a newborn baby girl and these are their names:

Austin Katy(5)
Dallas Erin(5)

Houston Cooper(3)
& Tyler Emily(1 month)

*All of these names are cities in Texas...What do you think?

City, States, Months, and Days of the week.

They are all themed inspired. Some of the names in these themes work for me... but personally, i wouldnt theme my whole family after one idea. But hey, that's just me.

Families need to follow what works for them. So if theme based names work for you... All the more power.

Hmm..Thats an interesting theme. I personally wouldnt use it, but its still kinda cool.
I like Houston Cooper the best.
All the names seem to flow really nice together, but I'm not a fan of Austin or Tyler on a girl.

not just the first names but Katy is a name of a city in Texas too

i think restricting yourself to a theme is very... uninspired. and its really obvious what their theme is.

if I named my kids Texas city names, I would choose:

Christi
Odessa
Victoria
Irving
Beaumont

My grandparents and Aunt and Uncle live just outside Dallas/Ft Worth and my cousin is going to school in Tyler, TX.

I'm not sure I like Austin & Dallas as girls names. I'm not even sure I like Dallas as a boys name. Though of all these names Austin would have to be my favorite.

I don't mind Austin and Dallas as boys names, but I really don't like them as girls names. That being said, I'm not against themed sibsets, and this one isn't terrible. It's just that all of the girl names sound so masculine, and boys names on girls a big pet peeve of mine.

Hmmm
I don't mind Austin on a girl, I know a girl named Beth Austin, it's cute!

My favorite city name is Vienna :D
A lot of cities with meaning to me don't really work as names, but Vienna is one of my faves.
