Hello I posted on here about a week ago and couldn`t find any names I liked. So simply I need a Irish First name for a girl. First name needs to have Irish roots but be at least a familiar name in America. I haven`t seen any Irish names I like yet, I don`t like the names Caitlin, Brianna, Fiona, Bridget if that helps when suggesting names. Her half sister is Tara Grace (9) if that helps. My husband is the Irish one not me so I am totaly lost when looking for names but I do want my daughter`s name to have a similar style to her sister`s name. Thanks, Erica and Patrick O`Briain.

Brigid- I know you said you don't like Bridget, but Brigid is a little different, She is an Irish Saint. I live in the U.S. and I actually know a high school girl named Brigid. Her family is Irish and all of her siblings have Irish names as well.

Dorothea- Older sister to the Brigid I know. She is called Dory.

Caoilinn- Younger sister to Brigid and Dorothea. The name can be pronounced KAY-lynn, KEY-lynn, or KAY-leen. She pronounces it KAY-lynn and they call her Caley.

Keely/Keelin- Similar to Caoilinn but a little more familiar in the U.S.

My personal favorite Irish name has to be either

Maire (Myra) or Meara (Meera),

I'm also partial to Enda and Ailbe (Al-Bay) but I mostly just think they're cool names

more that are maybe more recognized

Kyla

Deirdre (not sure if this counts as a recognized name for everyone but I knew a girl with this name growing up, we called her Deedee)

Nora or Noreen

Alanna

Shauna

Claire/Clare

McKenna

Regan
