It's been a year since [DD/DS] was born and we are celebrating [His/Her] birthday today! [BF] has been very excited to celebrate, however I haven't been feeling well and I snuck off to the store earlier. I call [BF] in and decide to share the news immediately, I'm pregnant again. After Tess was born, I started applying to colleges.  While I had always dreamed of attending Vassar or Princeton or Brown, I knew my options were limited to the Miami area due to Sam and Tess.  I ended up enrolling at the University of Miami, where Sam was, so that we could take care of Tess together and have our parents close by to help out.  That summer, Sam and I got an apartment off campus.  He got a job as a waiter at a nearby restaurant, and I got a job as a barista at Starbuck's, as my parents insisted that we pay the rent for our new place.  My parents came to our new apartment frequently to help us out and babysit when Sam and I had class.

 

After celebrating Tess' first birthday, I noticed I was feeling ill.  I took a pregnancy test, and sure enough, it was positive.  Although I loved Tess dearly and had hoped she would have siblings someday, I knew it wasn't the ideal time to have another child, what with Tess being only a year old and Sam and I taking college courses.  I mustered up the courage and told Sam the news.  He was excited but worried, and we broke the news to our parents.  Sam's parents had distanced themselves from him, me, and Tess, so their response was cold and unenthusiastic. My parents were frustrated but ultimately happy to welcome another grandchild.  They threw me a baby shower and helped Sam and I prepare for the new arrival.

 

At my 20 week scan, Sam and I learned that I was having twin girls!  We were even more nervous about having three little babies in the house - three cribs, three diapers to change, three carseats, three everything!  The next few months were a whirlwind of school, work, caring for Tess, and preparing for the twins.  Finally, on May 28th, I gave birth to our daughters, whom we named Eloise Violet and Juliette Ivy Radburn.  They were identical twins with light brown hair like Sam and blue eyes like my dad!
