So I'm not pregnant but I think about names a lot and lately I've been stuck on the name Mithian. It was the name of a fictional princess on the show Merlin a few years ago and it's just sort of stuck with me, it's a bit odd and I honestly can't find any real info on it on baby name sites and for that reason I want to see what other people think about it.

I graduated high school with a girl named Mithian, but she spells it Mythian. It is a very pretty name and it is very unique. It flows very easy and sounds very sleek. I disagree with it being a middle name, because I think it would kind of sound weird. Some middle names I think would work for it are:

  • Mithian Clair
  • Mithian Hope
  • Mithian Alexandra
  • Mithian Asia
  • Mithian Jade (Girl I graduated with's middle name)

It's funny I don't have Clara but I actually have Lara Mithian on my list, and though I love it in both spots it's mostly been used as a middle for me. I do like Mithian Claire and Mithian Jade is beautiful.

I'm not a fan of it at all and I think if it was ever used people would be forever asking how do you pronounce and/or spell it.

I think Mithian is gorgeous! It reminds me of my inner Tolkien and I think it works equally well as a first or a middle name.

FN:

Mithian Alexandra

Mithian Eleanor

Mithian Matilda (Love this- nn Mimi)

MN:

Adela Mithian

Clara Mithian

Stella Mithian
