Everyone in the family hates this name. It wouldn't be used in the first name spot. DH and I were thinking Mason Alaric. The initials would be M.A.G. I'm just worried about what the family on either side will say. (P.S. they're extremely overbearing and judgy)

I like it! Alaric is unusual and handsome, and it balances the more common Mason well. If you are planning on calling him Mason, the middle name really isn't that important anyway. I wouldn't worry about what the other members of the family think. They maybe even eventually grow to like the name. I say go for it.

I really like it! Mason Alaric is such a nice combo! They flow super well together as even each other out. If you love it, go for it! Don't tell the family until he is born.

I guess I'm a little late to the party, but I really like Alaric - better than Mason, actually, though I don't mind Mason too much either. My main concern is he might get called Mace.
