Ok I just don't understand why people are always telling me that Kayden is a boys name and I would be cursing my daughter by naming her that, when everyday there are people naming their daughters names like Dylan,Logan,Riley,Tyler,Chase ect. and they don't get picked on. Don't get me wrong I like all those names, but I just don't understand what
makes Kayden/Caden any different. I just happen to like that name on a girl is that a crime or something? Everytime I post something using that as a girls name someone comments yelling at me saying it's a boy name and my daughter would be teased all the time if I named her that. I just don't get it.

So sorry for my rant I just had let it out, and I actually feel a little bit better.

Anyways, does anybody have any opinions of the name Kayden on a girl? I've been trying to find a middle name to go with it, something pretty and feminine. So far I really like Kayden Mariella/Marielle and Kayden Noelle, What do you think?

When you post on a message board asking for opinions you are going to get just that, and it is probably the opinion of most that Kayden/Caden is best suited for a boy. Why people would "yell" at you is beyond me.... Personally I am not a fan of names that are traditionally boy on girls and vise versa but I don't see any reason why a female Kayden would be teased... Aden/ayden/aiden names are quite trendy at the moment and they are being used on both sexes. I know of two female Jaiden's myself. I wouldn't worry about teasing or the name "cursing your daughter". I do prefer the name on a boy with the spelling Caden though it is really not my style on either sex because it feels trendy and IMO it will be dated to the early 2000's. That is simply my opinion of course

I can't say Kayden/Caden is my favorite on a girl (or any "unisex" name for that matter), but if you love it, that's all that matters. They are your children, you have every right to name them whatever you please.

I prefer Kayden Noelle but I remember you wanted to use Kayden Mariella to honor your grandma. It is also really pretty.

I went to school with a girl named Caden and no one gave her a hard time about her name, most people adored her name! I quite like it on a girl!

i think caden spelled like kayen or kaidyn is cute! i love boys names used as girls that just makes the lil girl that much more adorable. my name is lindsey and originally that was a boys name. name ur baby what u feel she needs to be named!

My 20 year old sister is named Cadan. (But she was named in honor of our grandparents, Catherine and Dan)
Twenty years ago no one was named that. Her name is pronounced like Kayden/Caden/Kaiden/etc. but I prefer her spelling. So if you want to name your daughter Caiden/Caden/Cadan/Kaiden/Kaden/etc. go for it! Not my style, but it's your style that matters. My word of advice would to avoid trying to make it "girlier" buy adding a bunch of letters or using "y"s.

Well, I do prefer Caden/Kayden on a boy, though Kayden does look more feminen to me. Though that may be because my name is Hayden, and unisex previals a lot in my family.... sister Ryan and niece Ryan Chase and all.... But a girl named Kayden isn't any different then Ryan Chase, Tyler, Peyton, etc. I do tend to shy away from unisex though.... not my thing ;D But if you wanna name a girl Kayden, there isn't any problem with it.
