My wife and I are trying to decide whether to name our daughter Carolina Elizabeth Slack or Caroline Ann Slack.

I have always loved the name Carolina (pronounced like the states), but I am just hoping it is not to weird because of the whole naming after the states.

Can anyone help me with ensuring that Carolina is actually a good name?

We could always name her Caroline and I could just call her Carolina.

I think Carolina is pretty and gives a fresh take on the somewhat dated Caroline. Carrie and Callie make cute nickname possibilities if you like nicknames. I think Carolina Elizabeth Slack is a really nice full name.

I like Carolina more than Caroline, it sounds very pretty! I don't think it's weird - plenty of people use state names!

And I agree with Jenna_Lee that Carrie and Callie are both lovely nicknames, so anyone who doesn't love the name Carolina could simply call her one of those :)
