Penelope or Stella for a baby girl name?

Please help - I can't decide between Penelope or Stella. I would prefer no nickname, so if Penelope is chosen, I love the full name. I also would prefer one that is less common. Thanks so much in advance!

Interests:I like taking important names and writing the letters of each name out and making a new name out of the letters... that way they represent each one of the family members

Example:
Names:April May June July august
Letters:Aaaegijjllmnprstuuuuyy
New name: Amaya jenyl

I think they are both adorable but I slightly prefer Stella

I vote Stella! Such a great choice, and you don't have to worry about nicknames. My guess is, if you choose Penelope, by kindergarten she'll have people calling her Penny or Nellie despite you not liking it.

Penelope is such a beautiful name, but Stella is a little more uncommon with no real nickname to go with. Maybe wait to see her and then decide which fits best?
