I am writing a story about a troubled-teenage 16 year old girl living with her adopted parents and her 4 other adopted siblings.

Here is a summary:

'How much do you really know about your family? About your daughter?' This is the question 16 year old Soraya over heard at her parents dinner party one evening. She hears many things from her attic room and then she over heard her father asking something to a man she didnt know. 'Why?' The man looked up as if looking at her. 'Because she is pregnant!'


Quiet, shy and small for her age, Soraya Makenna has always been the odd one out of her family. Compared to her perfect 17 year old cheerleader-sisters, Holly and Amber, she feels worthless. But when former-BFF Natalie embarrasses her in the girls washroom by filming a private conversation and sends it to everyone in the school things start to change. Suddenly, the popular girls are talking to her, boys seem interested and she is invited to the biggest party of their generation by her older brother's Taylor and Mason much to her excitement. Everyone's there including long time crush Eli Sommers but as the party night comes Soraya realizes something. Why does she want to be the shy girl she was when she can be popular?
She is wearing more makeup and more revealing clothes much to the dismay of her adopted parents, she is hanging around with her older brothers friends and going out more. And then the unexpected happens... She winds up pregnant with no clue of what happened. All she knows is that she was with Eli at the party and she liked it. As she learns more of what happened, she realizes that the only reason people talked to her was because of a lie she told due to Natalie embarrassing her. What if they found out she is pregnant? What about her parents? The question still remains... How well do you know yourself?
