Jayson's middle name is Satterwhite and we both really want to keep it in the family. Considering he's adopted, and still has his birth name we're unsure if it's a middle name or if it's a maiden/last name.
I'm unsure whether we should just use it as a middle name for one of our future sons or as a double last name.

If it means something special to you or you want to keep it in the family I say definitely use it.
I think as a middle name for a future son would be nice. I'm not too big on double middle names unless necessary.

I completely agree. I like it better for a boy rather than a girlIf it means something special to you or you want to keep it in the family I say definitely use it.

Boy or girl, if it means something, use it. I once knew a girl named Elizabeth Spindler Mitchell...Spindler was her mom's maiden name, and she was actually really proud of her unique middle name! And Satterwhite isn't even something totally awful! I think it has a sort of quirky charm.
