DD Harris Kingston (12)
DS Stella Daisy (8)
Jack and Millie originated from a small town in Kansas. They met in school and were good friends for a while before they fell in love. Jack was a grade above Millie so they didn't get to spend much time in school together, but after school they'd visit each others houses. Millie's family wasn't very fond of Jack, and Jack's family didn't care much about anyone. Neither one expected that Millie would fall pregnant at 17, due to birth just after her 18th birthday. Jack and Millie loved each other and eventually wanted a family but they were terrified of what their families would think. Jack's family was very disappointed and wanted nothing to do in supporting them. Millie's parents freaked out but let Millie know she could stay home with her son if she needed as long as Jack wouldn't live with there. They didn't have very many options, Millie had just graduated high school and Jack just finished his freshmen year at the community college. He immediately signed up for accelerated courses for the summer coming up to get more credits down and worked after school every day. That fall Jack started schooling online and worked all day to earn more income for their family. Millie birthed their son that winter. They named him Harris Kingston. Millie's parents weren't very impressed with their name. They were particularly bothered that Millie gave him Jack's surname. Millie and Jack were head over heels with the name, though. Millie found the names in a name book and immediately knew they were the right names.
That first year of Harris' life were the hardest for Millie and Jack. Millie had a tough time being home with her son all day and felt lonely despite her parents presence. Her parents constantly pressured her over their beliefs. They wanted her and Jack to separate, they had strong opinions on the correct way to parent, and they constantly nit picked everything she did. Jack was tired after long days at work and it hurt for him to not live with his girlfriend and son. He was only able to spend evenings after work with them and Millie's parents were strict on him leaving by 9 PM. Finally, after taking on large classloads and saving as much as possible from his job, he got a job offer for the job of his dreams. An engineering job - in NYC! Jack was nervous to bring up such a move to Millie, but Millie loved the idea of living in the city. So much more to do than the small town she lived in now. And, of course, so much farther from her parents. Jack made the arrangements to live in a sweet apartment on the upper east side, not far from his job. Millie discreetly packed her and Harris' things and packed them in Jack's car. Millie never informed her parents that she was leaving before hand. She planned Jack to pick her up on a sunday morning when she knew her parents would be in church. She left a brief note letting them know she was moving out and off they went.
Jack ended up loving his job more than he ever knew he would. He had fantastic coworkers, a kind boss, and a great paycheck. Their apartment was beautiful and filled with lovely neighbors. Millie found herself enjoying being a stay at home mom with no one to criticize her every movement. After they settled in, Millie and Jack had a courthouse wedding with just their son and a couple new friends they'd made in the city. They got to a place where they tried for another and got a beautiful little girl and named her Stella Daisy.
Nowadays, Jack is still working at the same job he loves. Millie now works part time at a boutique during the day while the children are in school. Harris is in middle school and has a love for video games. Stella is in 3rd grade and enjoys dancing.

DGM Lenore Judith (67)
DF Andrew Patrick (45)
DD Olivia Jane (16)
Andrew was living the dream life until his life started suddenly falling apart. He was engaged to a wonderful woman and they had a beautiful daughter together, Olivia Jane. He received a call, out of the blue, that his fiance had been involved in a terrible car crash and had not survived. He had been left behind with their five year old daughter. Andrew and Livy lived day to day, living with the grief of their loss at all times. Andrew was yet again blindsided with some terrible news: his father had passed, leaving behind his disabled and ill mother. Andrew couldn't leave his mother to a nursing home so he invited her to live with him and his daughter. He decided it was time to move to a bigger apartment, one where each one of them could have their own room. The drive was slightly further from work, but with first grade around the corner for Livy he wanted a district with a better school system.
Andrew is still working the same job. Livy found great comfort in having her grandmother around to act as a motherly figure. Livy is now a junior in high school and balances her school with her many activities in school. She's a part of her schools soccer team and book club. Lenore is managing her disability and illness as best as she can. She's living a comfortable life and is thankful for her son and granddaughter being so close to her in her life. Liv loves to hang out with Will from apartment 12B. They tend to flirt with each other often though they don't think they'll ever date. They know each other almost too well for that. They became friends when they were in grade school.

Riley and Dahlia are both goal orientated people. They liked to live life with a plan. Their plans were all coming true, each of them completed high school with a 4.0 GPA, then college respectively. They knew their majors long before they applied. And after they graduated they threw themselves full force in the work force. They worked their dream jobs, had a steady/reliable income, etc. Dahlia was a psychiatrist and Riley was a dentist. While Dahlia felt very fulfilled through her career, her friends were all beginning to settle down. She wasn't sure if she was ready to settle with a man, per say. She did want a life outside of work though. Riley, on the other hand, began feeling anxiety about his work. His boss was a jerk and his coworkers weren't very friendly. The two of them both felt drawn to a local garden center. The two of them would just walk around, relaxing at the fresh scents of the greenery. By chance, the two of them would walked on the same day a few times in a row. They happened to stop in front of the same row of plans. Riley brought up some small talk and before they knew it, they were really hitting it off! They exchanged numbers and agreed to meet up again. They dated for a couple years then married.
After a year of happily being married, Riley brought up his desire to have a child. Dahlia was a little worried about becoming a mom yet, her career was going so well. Riley brought up the idea of being a stay at home dad and Dahlia felt that'd work perfectly. They started trying to conceive and fell pregnant six months later. Riley and Dahlia planned the pregnancy and birth carefully, but as babies go... they have their own plans. Their gender ultrasound suggested they were having a girl, then their son made his appearance three weeks before his due date. Riley and Dahlia felt very shaken at the surprises but happy nonetheless. They had the hardest time picking out a girls name and worried they would have an equally hard time agreeing on a boys. Then Dahlia suggested they could turn their girls choice into a boys choice: Callie Josephine turned to Calder Jonah. They loved the boys choice far more than the girls, it was fate that they had a boy instead!
Dahlia went back to work soon after. Though she missed her son, she loved being a working mom. Riley felt so much better being a stay at home dad. He didn't miss working at the office. Though being a SAHD was challenging, he felt good about himself. Riley often spends his days hanging out with the couple in apartment 4C and their toddler as well as the couple in apartment 12B and their infant.

DGD Louisa May Karen (25)
Lola has lived in NYC her entire life. She was a single mom to two kids, both of whom moved down south as they aged. Lola was alone in the city but she enjoyed occasional visits from both. She sometimes flew down to visit them as well. She now has a few grandchildren down south as well.
As Lola aged she began getting weaker and tired. She was stubborn and refused to admit it though. It turned out perfect timing when Louisa May called and announced she was attending the college local to Lola. Lola took the opportunity to invite Louisa May to live with her while attending college to ease on the costs. Louisa May was excited to live with her grandma. Despite the distance she was pretty close to her. Louisa May quickly noticed Lola needing help and subtly helped out when it was needed. They became a good pair together and enjoyed one anothers company.
Nowadays, Louisa May is finishing up with med school and Lola is retired and stays home most days. Lola started painting again, a hobby she'd loved when she was younger and had more time.

Abram and Julie had noticed each other long before they formally met. Both of them are bicyclists, and their paths crossed each AM on more than one street. They never spoke to each other until they happened to bump into each other at a frozen yogurt stand. Abram recognized her immediately and said hello. They chatted while they ate their yogurts and they really seemed to click. Abram offered to meet up with her in the AM and they could cycle together and Julie agreed. They started spending more and more time together and had a lot in common. Eventually, they really started falling in love. They dated for a short while before Abram asked her hand in marriage and Julie accepted. Soon after, Julie brought up wanting kids and Abram was okay with the idea. Julie got off her birth control and they decided to see what happens from there. After 6 months of no results, Julie wanted to start actively trying. 18 months of actively trying with no results, they contacted their doctors. He prescribed them Clomid. They tried three cycles of Clomid and still no results. Julie was heartbroken dealing with infertility. This took a toll of Abram too. Their doctor referred them to a fertility specialist who decided it was best to try an IUI. Julie was eager to start but Abram was unsure, it was hard dealing with the pain of not conceiving. He agreed they'd try three more cycles and take a break after that. Maybe they could try to adopt if this didn't work. Finally, after a couple years of trying, Julie was pregnant! The third time was their lucky try. Julie and Abram were so excited. They soon discovered that not only were they expecting, they were pregnant with twin girls!
The pregnancy seemed to fly by. Soon enough, Julie and Abram had their twin girls in their arms. They decided to name them Charlize Molly and Adele Sky. Charlize honored Abrams mom, Charlotte. Molly honored Julie's sister whom she was very close to. Adele honored Julie's mother, Della. And Sky honored Abrams dad, Kyle.
Now, Abram and Julie still enjoy the occasional bike ride. Not nearly as often with all the responsibilities parenting has brought upon them. Charlie has found herself to be very sporty, she enjoys softball and swimming. Adele isn't as sporty but she does enjoy swimming as well. She's more into arts and crafts. Addy likes to play with the other girls that are close to her age in the apartment often while Charlize likes to play with Charlie from apartment 4C. They find it hilarious that they are both named Charlie.

Knox and Declan met through an online dating service. They chatted casually for over a year before they decided to meet in person. Declan drove an hour to meet Knox within NYC. Knox and Declan both felt a strong connection, Declan found it entirely worth it to drive that hour into the city and did so weekly. He continued driving out to see him for 18 months before Knox brought up the idea of moving in together. Declan was nervous about moving so far, it would mean he'd need to find a new job and if their relationship went sour.. his friends and family would be an hour away. Declan thought about it while applying and searching for jobs. He decided he'd agree if he found a job, and he did! Knox was ecstatic. Declan moved into Knox's apartment soon after. Knox and Declan were very much in love and decided to marry after having lived together another two years. Declan brought up tha he really wanted a child and Knox agreed. They found an apartment in the Upper East side in a good neighborhood and with two extra bedrooms - plenty of room for a nursery and play room. Then they started applying to adopt. They found a young mom who was looking for a family for her unborn son and it was perfect. Knox and Declan welcomed little Charlie Jay into their family. They agreed to an opened adoption and sent the mom updates on Charlie every few weeks. They also agreed to meeting up once a year so Charlie could know his birth mom.
They were a happy family and content with where they were in life when they received an email from the birth mom asking a huge question. She found herself pregnant again and she still wasn't in a position where she wanted to be a mom. She very much wanted her next child to have an equally wonderful family and hoped they'd agree to take the next child in. Declan was immediately excited but Knox took some time to think about it. Charlie was only four years old, he'd be five by the time the baby was born. He wasn't sure for a while but ultimately agreed that one more child would be nice. They welcomed Theo Zed into the family.
Knox and Declan are still happily married and working their same jobs. Charlie is now seven and in second grade. He loves being a big brother! He's currently playing baseball after schools and loves it. Theo is two years old and full of energy! He loves helicopters and airplanes.

Ben and Mila were friends with benefits for a couple years when Mila found herself pregnant. Mila thought her doctors were kidding her when they announced her pregnancy. After all, she'd been on a birth control shot that was administered regularly through the doctors themselves. She couldn't be that 1% that the birth control fails, no? She had no idea what to do. Should she tell Ben? Is she even going to keep it? She didn't feel ready to be a mother at all, she was only newly 21 years old. She couldn't seem to make a confident decision either way so she held it off for a while. Mila resumed her everyday life, minus the alcohol, and let the question nag the back of her brain for a while. As the weeks went by, she knew her decision was made in her head: she was keeping this child. She scheduled an appointment with an OB/GYN to check up on her and the baby's health. At this point she was 16 weeks pregnant. They scheduled an ultrasound while she was there and they were able to determine her child was a boy.
Mila went to Bens that week to tell him the news. She didn't have high hopes that he'd stick around but she felt it was right to let him know. Initially she was right. Ben got mad and started making ridiculous accusations like it was her fault or how did she know he was the father. A week later Ben showed up on her doorstep with a little boys onsie and apologized for his behavior and asked if he could be a part of his sons life. She let him in and they discussed parenting arrangements. They came to an agreement that they would coparent and split parenting duties 50/50. As they got closer to their due date, Ben brought up a request on names. At that time his grandfather, who was a huge influence in Ben's life, was very ill. Ben wanted to honor him through his name. His grandfathers name was Willard Chandler Benjamin. Mila couldn't see herself calling her son Willard, but she suggested they went more traditional using William and Charles in his name and Ben loved that idea. Ben felt like they also needed to carry on his family tradition of two middle names so Mila suggested adding Henry to honor her own grandfather. William Henry Charles felt like a perfect name for their little boy. Mila originally planned on calling him Liam but once she saw her sons face she knew he was a Will. Mila and Ben stuck to their coparenting agreement for a while. It worked great in the beginning, they both were able to catch up on sleep on their time off and they had an easier time scheduling their work hours. Over time they got more relaxed about splitting responsibilities. Mila and Ben ended up falling asleep over each others apartments and they started spending more time together as friends. After a while they started developing real feelings for each other. Both of them had tried dating other people but it never felt right. They always had each other in the back of their minds and most of their peers were uninterested in dating someone who already had a child. Ben asked Mila on a proper date by the time Will was 18 months and Mila agreed. They dated for a year before Ben proposed to Mila and she said yes. Right after they married, Ben brought up the idea of having another child. Will had just turned 3 and Ben admitted he enjoyed parenting quite a lot. Mila agreed and they got pregnant pretty much right away. This time with a girl! They named her Arabella Phoebe Scarlett. They chose Arabella to loosely honor Mila's mom, Ellen. Phoebe was Ben's grandmothers name. Scarlett felt special to Mila as she, her mom, and her baby sister watched Gone With The Wind a ton of times while Mila was growing up, it was a favorite. Ben and Mila were pretty happy with Will and Ari, they loved being parents. Who'd have guessed they'd enjoy it so much? Mila felt really sad when Ari started getting older. She missed the baby phase now that she had a rambunctious four year old and an energetic, smart seven year old. A kinder gardener and a second grader! Phew! Mila and Ben decided to give it one more go. It took a little longer to conceive this next one, but they felt blessed with another little girl. They named her Edith Genevieve Beatrice. Edith honored Ben's mother, Genevieve loosely honored Mila's sister Jenna as well as Ben's aunt Eve, and Beatrice honored Ben's great grandmother.
Mila and Ben felt their family was complete. It was a lot to juggle three kids. Eight years later, Mila's little sister Jenna found herself in a very tough situation. Jenna got pregnant through her on and off again crappy boyfriend. Jenna was still only 24 and did not want to be a mother at all. Older than Mila was when she first got pregnant but still young. She went straight to her sister and confessed she had no idea what to do. She didn't feel she could terminate, she was scared about the idea of adopting, but she was in no way ready to be a parent. Mila let her know she still had time to decide and that she'd help her along the way. Later that night she discussed the situation with Ben and he suggested they could adopt Jenna's baby. They had the finances and the kids were all older and able to help. Mila agreed that she would love another baby, especially since she wouldn't have to birth this one. Jenna loved the idea. Adoption felt a little less overwhelming knowing she'd still be able to see her child grow up and be a part of its life. Jenna birthed a little girl. She was named Mabel Harriet Clementine. Jenna had revealed she loved names with "Mae" in them and originally hinted at including Mae as a middle name, via plain Mae or even Maylie. Ben brought up his love for the name Mabel and it stuck. Jenna was beyond happy when she heard they named the baby Mabel. They chose Harriet and Clementine as they were family names back in Ben's family tree.
Now, Ben and Mila love their large family. Will is now 17 and a senior in high school. He's a part of the schools baseball team. He loves watching movies and relaxing with friends as well. Ari is now 14 and full of teenager sass. She loves to dance and is on a local dance team. She and Ella from apartment 8A are really close, even though they are very different personalities. She also participates in her schools theater program. Edie is now 9 and loves video games. She's a big time introvert, loves to stay home. She sometimes hangs out with Stella from apartment 3B and Tae from apartment 10B. Mae is a healthy and active 3 month old.

Hailey and Conrad met in middle school through mutual friends. They were close friends for a few years before deciding to take it to the next step. They love each other though they are taking things one step at a time. They moved in together after high school. Hailey loves photography and is interning with a local photographer for experience. She makes some extra money by photographing friends and family. She's done family portraits for many of the families within their apartment complex. Conrad is currently working construction in the city. He's unsure of what he wants to do with his future and doesn't have the money to pay for college - especially if he isn't sure what he wants to do there. Pippa was a party girl with a bad reputation back in the day while Nick is the complete opposite, very organized and always on a schedule for success. The day they met was a weird one for both of them. Pippa had had a bout of alcohol poisoning the previous week that scared her parents half to death. They decided they wouldn't enable her irresponsible behavior anymore and told her if she wanted to live at home still she had to get a job and pay rent. So Pippa went out to apply for any retail jobs that might accept her. She was 19 years old and had graduated high school a year before but she still had no plans for the future besides living each day to the fullest and having fun. After her job search she stopped at a coffee shop to grab an iced coffee which ended up being knocked out of her hands on her way out of the shop. Nick, on the other hand, had a steady job in journalism. He wrote traveled and wrote articles about places from all around the world. He mainly stayed in NYC and worked in an office. He got to travel 3-6 times a year though. He was always timely and organized normally, but that particular morning his alarm didn't go off and he misplaced his wallet and keys. He didn't even get a shower in between the rushing, he threw on some clean slacks, a button up, and a tie and ran out the door. He decided to stop in the coffee shop to grab a quick coffee on the way. As he went in the door, a lady was heading out and he accidentally bumped the coffee right out of her hand and spilled it everywhere. Nick had run into Pippa. Nick apologized profusely and offered to buy her another. Pippa smiled and agreed. He was super handsome and Pippa was immediately attracted. Nick was in such a flurry it took him a minute to notice that he'd not seen such a beautiful girl before and then felt even more embarrassed. Pippa sparked up conversation while they were in line. Nick was so taken with her that he invited her on a date for that friday at the most beautiful restaurant that popped into his mind on the spot. Pippa was flattered that he'd invite her to such an expensive restaurant and agreed. They exchanged numbers before they left. The date turned out amazing, they were both so intrigued by each other. Previously Pippa had never dated someone seriously, but she really felt a connection and decided to go out of her comfort zone and try. Nick had never been with someone so exciting before her. He was nervous about throwing so much chaos into his perfectly organized life but deep down he loved the way she turned his life upside down. Pippa's parents were surprised when they noticed the change in Pippa. While she hadn't found the job she had been looking for, she kept searching. She never used to be one to talk about her plans, but she'd occasionally bring up their plans and they were confused at how unlike her they were. Pippa stopped drinking and came home at a reasonable hour most nights. And on nights where she didn't come home at all, she came home the next day completely sober and decent.
Nick and Pippa took their relationship slow. They were genuinely happy together, even with the bumps along the way. They hadn't expected a particularly big bump to encounter them, however. Pippa found herself pregnant. They hadn't been very good about birth control, Pippa had a mindset of "well it probably wont happen to me". Pippa got scared. She had such a tight bond with Nick after having dated for four years and she was scared this would ruin everything. When she told Nick, he was sort of happy though nervous. He brought up marriage and Pippa freaked out. She left his apartment and hung around her parents house for a while. Nick was a nervous wreck after Pippa left. He truly loved her and wanted to marry her and be a family and didn't understand what Pippa was feeling. After a week of sticking around the house Pippa's parents probed about what was going on. Pippa admitted the situation and her parents helped talk her down and pushed her to go back to Nick and talk to him about it. Pippa did, much to Nick's relief. She told him she wasn't ready to marry and didn't want to just because of the baby. Nick told her that he didn't want to marry just because of the baby and that he truly loved her. Pippa told him she wasn't ready for that and he accepted it. She finally did agree to move in with him though.
Pippa and Nick had a baby girl and named her Octavia Margo Astrid. Nick had originally wanted a very traditional name but Pippa wanted something exciting and full of life. They agreed on Octavia with the nick name Tae to tone it down. Margo honored Nicks mom, Margaret. Astrid was another that Pippa just loved.
Nick and Pippa married a couple years after Tae was born. They still live in Nick's apartment together. Pippa is a housewife and stay at home mom to their 8 year old. Nick is still in his same job though they travel a little less frequently. Now he brings the entire family on his travels.

Marie sent Jodie to a rehab program which helped Jodie finish her pregnancy clean. Jodie heavily relied on Marie to help her with her daughter, Ella. Marie watched Ella while Jodie worked. Marie often provided groceries and supplies for Ella. Marie didn't mind helping until she noticed Jodie started to relapse back into her old ways. Marie offered to fund rehab again but Jodie refused and got mad, claiming she didn't have a problem. Jodie grabbed Ella and a bag of her things and left. It broke Marie's heart, but she called CPS on Jodie. She couldn't let Ella be stuck in an unsafe home. Marie got emergency custody of Ella. It was all supposed to be temporary, in hopes of Jodie getting clean and staying that way. Jodie didn't want to stop using though and eventually was terminated of parental rights. Marie officially adopted Ella.

D-EX Austin Zachary (29)
[In Process of Divorce]
DS Oliver Max (11)
Cara and Austin met in their freshmen year of college. It was love at first sight. Austin was a gentleman, very kind and made Cara feel special. Cara was beautiful and fun. Austin felt alive when he and Cara spent time together. Cara and Austin spent all their time together. After they'd been dating for 8 months Austin asked Cara to marry him and she agreed. They got married a month later and moved into a beautiful apartment building not far from the college. A few months into their marriage, Cara found out she was pregnant. They weren't trying to conceive but they also weren't preventing. Cara was ecstatic! Austin was a little hesitant as he wasn't sure what it would mean in regards to him continuing college. Neither of them had jobs at that point and it scared him. Cara dropped out of college and got a full time job. Austin picked up a part time job after school, bare minimums he'd complete the semester. Cara felt upset that Austin didn't drop out for work with her, but she also felt upset that they didn't get to spend much time together anymore. Thankfully, Cara was due in June - summer break for Austin.
Cara delivered a little boy and they named him Oliver Max. Cara and Austin fought over what they'd name their son frequently, just barely agreeing to compromise on Oliver. Austin wanted to use the names Beckett or Greyson, he felt they were cool and unique. Cara was fond of names like Noah or William. Cara's friend brought up Oliver and Max to her and she liked them a lot, so she brought them up to Austin and he thought they were nice.
Austin and Cara's marriage was very back and forth, emotionally. Austin refused to give up his education but took up working full time around classes to finance their family. Cara continued to work full time and put Ollie in daycare. Cara complained that she never got to see her husband and that she was caring for their son more than he was. Austin was stretched thin between classes, work, his wife, and his son. The arguments died down a little when Austin graduated but picked up again when Austin didn't find a career within his major after a few months. Cara complained that the education was for nothing if he didn't work within his major. Austin tried explaining that he's trying to find that job but Cara didn't seem to listen. Austin finally found an in to his career of choice after a year of searching and felt so much relief. Cara never seemed to think Austin did enough for their family and Austin began resenting Cara. Enough finally became enough when Austin found out Cara was cheating on him. He had seen clues previously but was in denial until he left work early due to illness and came home to see it all. Austin requested that Cara leave with her new man but Cara raised a ruckus. Her man left while Cara and Austin argued. Austin let her know that he wasn't going anywhere. He'd done nothing wrong and shouldn't have to suffer consequences of her indiscretion. Cara kept repeating that it was her house too and she didn't have to go anywhere and got upset that Austin wouldn't leave. Austin felt awful to see his son walk in the door and hear Cara yelling, blaming Austin for not being around often enough and that's why she had to find love elsewhere.
Cara and Austin are now in the process of divorce. Cara is insisting that she'll keep the apartment and have full custody of their son. Austin knows that her job doesn't fund nearly enough for her to afford this apartment and is fighting for his rights himself. At this point its looking as if Austin will have the apartment as well as custody monday through friday afternoon, then Cara has him for the weekends. Nothing is final though. Ollie is thankful he has a friend within this apartment to escape the drama of his family. He often finds himself in Apartment 3B playing video games with his friend Harry Lafferty. He loves how comfortable and predictable their family is and is glad for the support.

Apartment 9B
DL Petunia Pearl (64)
Petunia was born and raised Braswell Georgia, a very small town with less than 400 residents. Most of Petunias family was in the area, a lot even within the town itself. Petunia was pretty close to her family but she didn't feel like this town had to offer everything she dreamed of. When she was just 18 she set off to NYC to find something bigger - and thats exactly what she found. She worked hard and life was tough for the first few years. She worked odd jobs to make ends meet until she got a job as a bank teller at a lovely bank. It was a demanding job but she found she loved it. To this day, Petunia is still working as a bank teller. She's living in this comfortable apartment and enjoying her busy life. She visits her family back home for the holidays and on rare occasions has family come visit her.

DH Baxter Logan (49)
DW Violet Monroe (38)
DS Atticus William Calvin (23)
DD Evangeline Margo Lucy (18)
Bax grew up in a well off family. He worked for the family business since he could remember and he had an important position within the company. Violet, on the other hand, grew up in a family that had "just enough" of everything. She didn't need much to make her happy, just her books. Violet met Bax while she was in college. She was an English major, leaning mostly towards literature. She and Bax met at a library within NYC. Bax himself was a reader, he liked to spend his time off in the silence of the library, lost in his own world within a book. Bax had been regularly using this library for years before Violet stepped foot inside. She began coming in regularly as well. Bax decided to introduce himself after a few months of regularly seeing her there. He asked her about her favorite books and she happily chatted about it and mentioned her currently studying in American Lit. Bax and Violet kept talking until they'd noticed they'd been chatting for hours. Bax invited Violet out on a date and she accepted. Bax had been very hesitant to date since his previous marriage which ended horribly. His wife passed from childbirth, leaving him alone with their infant son, Tuck. Violet was nervous to date a man who had a son, she was still so young and not ready to be a mom being she was only 18. She'd never dated an older man before, but she agreed to keep dating and see how things went. Violet ended up loving Bax and Tuck, they got along so well. Violet wasn't even upset when she found she was pregnant at 20. She already felt like a mom to Tuck after almost two years of parenting. She was nervous about the newborn stage as she had no experience, Tuck was 3 when she met him. Bax was a little nervous about Violet being pregnant. He knew most women survived childbirth just fine but still had the nagging fear in his mind. Violet ended up having a wonderful birthing experience with their daughter. She was in labor for only a short amount of time, Evie came out with only a few pushes! Violet loved that Atticus' first name was literary and decided to continue the theme with their daughter. They chose Evangeline after 'Little Eva' from Uncle Tom's Cabin. Margo was just a name Bax loved. Violet suggested using Lucy as the second middle name to honor Tuck's mom, as Violet felt she deserved remembrance. Violet was so thankful to have Bax and Tuck in her life, even if through such horrible circumstances.
Bax still works in his family business. Violet is now an American Lit professor at the local college. Tuck and Evie both attend the same local college. They both live on campus during the week but come home to their parents on the weekends.
