Last night was Lilah's open house at school. As we walked around her new 1st grade classroom, her teacher had placed the children's names on their desks and I couldn't help but analyze them :P Some of them were rather interesting and I hadn't heard them before...just wanted to see what all of you thought of them!

Indigo
Kenyon
Soren
Chynnah
Ilia
Maddesynn (I've seen Madison plenty of times...just not quite spelled like this!)

I think Chynnah is like China the country actually. I'm not completely postive though...

I only like Soren. The others are too out there for me, especially Maddesyn- I hate crazy spellings!

Indigo - I really like it
Kenyon - don't like
Soren - okay
Chynnah - how do you pronounce?
Ilia - not my style
Maddesynn - ridiculous!

The only one I like is Indigo.

I really love the name Soren. I had a dream once that I had a son named Soren, and ever since it's been a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. Kenyon isn't horrible, but I wouldn't use it. Same goes for Indigo.

For the girl names, I really don't like Maddesynn or Chynnah (Madison and China work so much better, in my opinion!)
Ilia reminds me of the male figure skater Ilya Kulik and the male hockey player Ilya Kovalchuck... but it does have a pretty sound.

Indigo - LOVE!.... but on a GIRL
Kenyon - nms
Soren - nms, but it's not that bad
Chynnah - I too think it's meant to be pronounced like "China". Regardless, nms, i would prefer India if you're into naming kids after places
Ilia - This is a boy's name, correctly spelled Ilija
Maddesynn - enough with the ridiculous spellings! Spell it Maddison (which is still nms, but at least the poor child won't have to correct everyone on how to properly write her name in the future)
