I used to hate it because it seemed so blah and boring. But then again, I used to hate the names Amy and Helen until I met two wonderful people who gave the names a fresh look to me.

Same goes for Emma because I am hopelessly addicted to Glee and I love, love, love the character Emma. She's sweet and funny and her quirks are just adorable, so naturally, the character is making me think of the name a lot differently.

I kind of love it now, in fact.

So what do you think of Emma? And has this happened to you before--hate a name but love a person with it so your whole view of the name changes? Just curious (:

I love Emma, though then again, I may be biased! My half sister's name is Emma Kadence.

It was a COMPLETE accident Before I knew I had a half sister (on my dad's side) I had already picked the name Cadence and I even asked Yas what I should do, if I should keep the name or if I should change it. She thought it was a cute way for them to be "connected" or something like that, LOL. so I kept it.

That's kind of neat, haha. And since Kadence is Emma's middle name and not her first, I think that is perfectly fine!

I like Emma though it isn't something I would use myself. I prefer Emmeline.

I used to hate the name Sophia/Sophie which just felt really stuffy to me and made me think of sofa's. I later had a coworker named Sophia who changed my opinion of the name. I don't love the name but I don't loathe it like I once did.

emma is a very cute name i use to think it was boring and blah as well but my views changed after i became friedns with a good friend of mine named emma.

I love Emma! I think it's sweet and very pretty.

And yes, that has happened to me before. I used to hate names and then I started loving them...or I used to love names and then I started disliking them because I met someone.

I can't think of any specifics right now, but it has most definitely happened.

I love Emma X3 I used to hate it also, until I met an Emma and I totally fell in love with it!

Thats happened to me so many times! I used to hate hate hate Pheobe, now I dont mind it after meeting one I didn't like: Ben, Mike, William/Will, Devan, and Ethan till I met people.
