I'm not having kids for a while, but I plan on naming my first daughter Lilia. I also really love Susanna and think Lilia and Susanna sound like great names for sisters at first glance. I'm part Latvian so I really lean towards names that work well in both Latvian and English (though the spellings of these names are different. Lilia is spelled Lilija in that language and Susanna would be Zuzanna. I love both variants, but I think the former are easier for English speakers).

 

Both names mean "lily" though so I'm hesitant about it because I think siblings should have their own names. Most people probably wouldn't think twice if they saw them together unless they're really into researching name meanings or something. Overthinking it or not? Do you think they're too close or still usable? I don't wanna pigeon hole myself if I decide to have more kids. lol

Lilia and Susanna are both beautiful names, but as you said both do mean 'Lily'...

From my honest opinion, there a hundreds if not thousands of different types of lilies. You can change the meaning with a middle name.

Via your signature, I see Lilia Genevieve (Lily and Woman? Genevieve is one you can kinda choose what it means...) and Susanna Audrey (Lily and Strength) correct?

I thing both names are elegant but not overshadowing of each other as long as there is the slight variation between the two. The different spelling and complexities of the names balance out well on the tongue.
