I was going to have pics but the pictures I found and the vision I had in my head didn't match.

In my story, there are two main girls. They are best friends and have been best friends since they were very young. I want to avoid making them the stereotypical one is a knockout and the other is a plain Jane, but also follow that stereotype. I don't want them to be polar opposites, but they still seem vastly different. Hopefully the character descriptions will explain it better.

The names I have for them are Aspen Lynch and Joanie. I don't have a last name for Joanie yet.

Both girls are attractive, outgoing, intelligent, mischievous and energetic. They like to go out and have a good time but they are still had-working and responsible. They both work for a living and are living in the same apartment. However, Aspen is considered to be the 'stronger', 'bolder', 'wilder' and 'more confident' of the two. She is more high maintenance while Joanie is, simply, a lot more mellow. That's the best way I can describe her compared to Aspen. She just seems to be more subdue and calmer. But, she isn't insecure or unsure. She is still confident and strong.

Aspen is always changing her look. She's had short, long, curly, straight, red, black, pink etc hair. She changes her style as well, but always seems fashionable. Her natural hair color is blond (which she has at the beginning of the story) and she has green eyes.

Joanie hasn't done much with herself besides cut her hair. She has strawberry-blond hair and blue eyes. She is actually taller than Aspen by a few feet. Her style changes but not as abruptly as Aspen's does. She likes to dress up and lets Aspen make her up most of the time.

Do the names fit the characters pretty well? And if so, what is a good last name for Joanie?

I like Joanie. Maybe Joanie Carson or Davids. Aspen seems a bit too unique in my opinion. Good luck! B)
