What are your opinions on the name Della? I recently read a book with a major character with this name in it, and haven't been able to get it out of my head. I've had Delia on my long list for quite a while now. I'm thinking Della would make a pretty and unusual alternative.

I love it! My manager's name was Della Mae <3 She's older (of course), but her name always stood out to me.

I am not a fan. It may be too "old fashioned" for me. Go for it if you like it though. :)

Della is okay. I personally prefer Delia though!

I love it as a nickname for Madeline! I've known two Madeline's that go by Della/Dell. Maybe that's why I have a hard time seeing it as a standalone name? I don't know. Pretty though :)

Lauren- Della Mae is really cute! It sounds like the name of a southern belle! <3

Addy- I never though about Madeline's going by Della. Madeline isn't my favorite name though. :/ I thought about using Adela, but I think I just like Della on its own. I've never met anyone with the name before, so I don't have any preconceptions.

Thanks for the thoughts, ladies!

I generally still call her Della Mae. <3 Catches her attention a lot faster than anything else aside from MawMaw lol She's in her 50s, so it's not too terribly old, and at least you know that it ages well! :)
