Hi everyone, I've considered making this for awhile but I have not had the time. Here's my dilemma:

Maya is my favorite name for girls but I've never had a solid middle name to pair with it. It seems that if I do find a name, I always end up finding something wrong with it. Lately, I've been thinking Lucia or Luciana because of how beautiful they sound but I'm not sure about having both the first and middle name end in 'a'. I've also considered Cassandra, but it "overpowers" Maya in a sense. I have a problem with just about everything. Jane? Too "filler". Camille? Taken by a cousin. One that I've been considering the most is Abigail. But I'm wondering if Maya ending with A and Abigail starting with A will run into each other. I want you guys to help me find a middle name that is beautiful like Lucia/Luciana, not too common for a middle name, not too old fashioned, and that doesn't start or end in a unless you REALLY think I might like it. If it's Spanish, that's a plus, but not a necessity. OH! I almost forgot. There is someone very important in my life who I want to honor in some way if I can. She was very kind, understanding, and inspired me to do great things. Her first name is Alicia. I'm not fond of the name itself but I would love to honor her somehow. Maybe a variant or similar name or something else? Her last name starts with an R if that helps. It's also not a necessity to use this as a middle name for Maya but I may use it for one of my other girl names.

I hope I wasn't too picky and demanding! I really appreciate y'all's help and I'll try my best to reply back and be open-minded when it comes to your suggestions. Thank You! 😊

Wow! That is a big list, and I spotted several of the combos I considered using at one point. I really like the following combos (going from bottom to top):

Maya Soledad- This combo is lovely and I like how the two go together but have a great contrast. But it bothers me that the meaning of Soledad is solitude/loneliness.

Maya Lorelei- Lorelei has always been a super stunning name to me and it pairs nicely with Maya. I will keep this in mind.

Maya Flor- Flor is the word for flower in Spanish, which is a beautiful meaning. It also reminds me of my favorite song, "Como la Flor," by the late Tejano singer, Selena. It also goes well with Maya in the way that Soledad does with contrasting sounds. I really love this combo!

Maya Daphne- I thought about using Daphne before, but I decided against it because if I end up using the Maia spelling, it may seem too mythological. Maia- daughter of Atlas and mother of Hermes in Greek mythology. Daphne- Greek nymph.

Maya Evangeline- This is a combo I considered before. It's pretty and flows well, but it's unlikely I'll use it now because Evangeline is the name of my main character in the story I'm currently writing.

Maya Penelope- I like the name Penelope, but it reminds me of the Kardashians. Also, when Kourtney Kardashian had her daughter, I asked my mother what she thought of the name and she had an intense dislike for it.

Maya Isobel- This is lovely, but I have Isabella on my list as a first name.

Maya Juliet- Another combo I considered. But a very close family friend has a variant of this, so I got rid of it. Also, too much of an association of Romeo and Juliet.

Maya Rosalie- I love the flow of this and Rosalie is beautiful, but I have Rosa on my list as a first name.

Maya Louise- In a weird way, I wouldn't use Louise as a middle name, only as a first name.

Maya Gabrielle- I like the flow and sound of Maya Gabrielle, but dues to a negative association I can't use it.

Maya Eleanor- Yet another combo I considered. I don't remember my reasoning for throwing it out, but something bothers me about it.

Maya Josephine- I also like the contrast and flow with this one, but I have a complex positive/negative association with the name Josephine.

Maya Francesca- I had this as a combo for a while, but in the end I think the double 'a' ending bothered me too much.

Maya Noelle- One of the first middle names I paired with Maya. I started seeing it used more and more in my area and I fell out of love with it.

Maya Sophie- I like the sound of this, but I can't use it because Sofie is my dog's name, (who happens to be in my lap right now).

Maya Genevieve- Similar to Juliet, a family friend has a variant of this name so I would not use it, but it's quite beautiful.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I really like Maya Lorelei and LOVE Maya Flor!

There aren't too many Latin/Hispanic names that don't end in an A.. So it's kinda hard.

Sorry if I repeated some, I looked over the previous list but may have accidentally missed a few.

You are so helpful! I also found some I liked and had considered in this list (starting bottom to top):

Maya Noemi- I like this combo and how Maya sounds a little stronger but Noemi seems softer. But Noe is the name of my half-brother, (whom I have never met) so using this may not be the best choice.

Maya Celeste- I considered this at one point, but I decided I liked these names better apart.

Maya Giselle- This is one I had on my mind, not really sure why I threw it out as it's lovely. I guess I forgot about it. I'll put this on my short list.

Maya Carmen- Another one of the first middle names I considered. I ended up liking Carmen so much I have it on my list as a first name.

Maya Estrella- I love the meaning of "Star", but something seems a bit off to me, I can't tell what.

Maya Christine- I thought about this one too, but since I know quite a few Christinas and people who have Christine as a middle name it lost its touch.

Maya Sol- I love that Sol means sun in Spanish and that it contrasts from Maya, but SOL also means something else that I would not post on here.

Maya Calista- Calista is such a beautiful name that I've never considered with Maya. However, my middle school bully was also named Calista, so unfortunately she ruined the name for me.

Maya Isolde- I've seen this around but never paid mind to it. It looks lovely, but I'm a bit confused on pronunciation.

Maya Amabel- I don't know if you meant Anabel, but I think Amabel is super cute! I really like it!

Maya Luz- I like the meaning of "light" but I'm not fond of the name itself. Interestingly, my aunt has this name but she said that it caused a lot of problems in school because of mispronunciation and misspelled documents. She goes by Lucy now.

Maya Estelle- I like that it's similar to Estella but does not end in 'a'. I'll also put this on my short list.

I really like Estelle, Amabel, Giselle, and I'm iffy on Isolde because of pronunciation. It's very hard to find Hispanic/Latin names that don't end in 'A'. I'm thinking about forgetting about my previous reservations about that. One reason, it's very difficult to find names that fit that request, and the second reason is that I'm shutting out a lot of beautiful names that happen to end in 'A'. Right now I have the middle names Flor, Lorelei, Estelle, Amabel, Giselle, and Luciana. You've given me a lot to consider and I don't want you to exert yourself too much over this. I think I'll find a few other names on my own and make a poll to see which one sounds best. Thank you very much!

Honestly, it's not problem. It's what we're here for!

Glad you found some you liked. Let me know if you need any more help.
