Okay, I am having trouble deciding which one! This is the argument I have so far come up with!

Liam
Pros: I like it slightly better, maybe. It really sounds handsome and generally formal. William is even still an option as a more formal full name, though Liam does sound nice by itself. Plus, I love Liam Alexander!
Cons: It soooo popular! Not only is the name Liam very popular, but the name William is too! Which could add up to sooo many Liam's! D:

Leo
Pro's: I do love the name Leonardo, so I could use that as a fuller name. Or even Lionel nn Leo! Leo isn't really that popular. I do love how the name feels, it's like, silly and funny and everything!
Cons: Well, I don't think it'd fit in with my other name options as well. It maybe sounds... overly silly, the name Leo does. Plus, I'd have to search for a perfect middle name (which may be a pro! :) ). Leo Alexander might be just as perfect, maybe.

I'm open to people adding on to my pros and cons list! Thanks so much!

I voted for Leo...but it was a very hard choice ...

I think Leo to me ages better and seems a bit more masculine than Liam does. Liam has a more exotic feel and is EXTREMELY popular at the moment and borderline Trendy (since it is much more popular at the moment than it has ever really been).

I agree that Liam Alexander is wonderful...it is actually my bf, Robin, top boy name...along with Tristian or Alexander nn Xander/Lex. Leo Alexander is nice as well but doesnt have the same ring as Liam Alexander. What about Leonardo Holden or Leo Gabriel ?? Also have you thought of Leon nn Leo? I've liked the name Leon since I watched the BBC show Hex where one of the characters was this cute, really sweet boy named Leon.

I voted for Liam. Mainly because I have a rabbit named Leo. It seems like a pet name to me. And people might automatically assume he is a Leo. (astrological sign i mean) .

Disclaimer: I'm on my Itouch and that makes this whole process a lot more difficult. The motherboard on my computer quit yesterday. :) Beware of spelling errors.

Liam -
Pros: Handsome and cute, ages well enough
Cons: I prefer it as a William nickname. I feel there is a distinction between popular and trendy. William is a timeless classic that nobody will consider overused, dated or trendy. Liam is a new feeling name that has a tendency towards trendy. It's still very handsome. But I feel it wouldn't take to much for it to feel overused.

Leo-
Pros: nice, strong associations (DiCaprio and lions in general) give the name a solid, handsome air. It still, however can be quite cute when it needs to be. I think it ages as well as Liam. Plus, there are a variety of names you can use to get to get Leo, all of which are pretty nice: Lionel, Leon, Leonardo (my least fave), and even Elliot. Yes, I actually think Elliot nn Leo could work. My personal fave name is Lionel nn Leo. Lionel is stately and strong without being pretentious, he isn't overused, and he would probably be a good name to have on the playground. I just mean I wouldn't be surprised if little boys think names with "Lion" in them are cool. Just saying. I may be biased on this question because a lady on one of the other sites I frequent just named her son Leo Sebastian Felix, and while Felix isn't my cup of tea, I ADORE Leo Sebastian.
Cons: Liam Alexander sounds much better than Leo or Lionel Alexander. Leon Alexander, though, might do the trick if you really hav to have Alexander.

My vote: Leo

I love these pro/con questions. Incidentally, I think I'll make one up soon to help be with a first middle or middle first type decision I've been having trouble with.

Liam: I love Liam and I get what you mean about the popularity of it but that didnt turn me off the name. Liam Alexander is such a cute name you already have picked out and I think that William (slightly less popular) makes a great full name. I think that Liam ages well on both a baby and an adult.

Leo: Its less popular then Liam but I dont like it as much. Leo Alexander sounds alright but to me it doesn't have that 'perfect' feel to it. Im not a fan of Leonardo.

I voted for Liam :)
