We recently announced that baby #3 is a little boy! As with our first two, we had already fallen in love and chosen a girl name. But, boy names have always been difficult for us to agree on! We need some help!

Our kids are Nora and Wyatt. We like older style names, and my hubby loves cowboy names. I'd love to get some feedback on our top 3 name choices, and feel free to toss in a few new suggestions.

Jude-This has been my choice for a boy since before we had any kids. I'm unsure now how it goes with Nora and Wyatt

Hudson-He loves this name, but I feel like its becoming much more popular and it feels a little 'preppy' to me

Sawyer- A new favorite of ours. We are fans of Mark Twain and Lost, so we like the name connotations. But, is it too commonly used as a unisex name? I dislike unisex names.

Some mn options: Atticus, Henry, Everett, James, Boone

Thanks for your help!

I have to say, there is something really wonderful in the flow of Nora, Wyatt & Jude. I think it just sort of fits in a way that the other two do not, though both are wonderful names!

Of the middle names, I like Jude Henry best. It has a sort of classic/traditional charm to it while not feeling like it would be ill placed on a young child as well as being a name said child could grow into over time. Hudson and Sawyer are really preppy names in my opinion.

I've been meaning to respond but wanted to be able to look up the actual stats on Sawyer...while is is rising in use both for girls and boys...it is still for the majority a boys name with the current (2015) ratio being 4:1.

That being said, I find Sawyer and Nora are a bit awkward to say together since they contain similar sounds with slight differences.  Sawyer, Nora. Nora, Sawyer. I tried it but keep getting tongue tied. But I've always disliked Rs in repetition...forget saying Aurora!  If its not an issue for you, I do like the name Sawyer on its own, and its one of my favorites on your list.

Of the three, I actually think Jude fits best with Nora & Wyatt. I don't think it clashes style-wise. It isn't quite as cowboy-esq but if you can get hubby on board, it definitely works!

Hudson is the stand out style clash to me. Funny that its you hubby's favorite. To me It works with Nora, but not Wyatt. Definitely has a more 'preppy' feel.

More names you may like..

Shane  - This is the first one that came to mind, it has a similar feel/softness as Jude, but with more cowboy-esq quality.

Everett - If you don't mind the matching ending with Wyatt
Hayes - Similar feel to Hudson, but fits better style-wise with Nora & Wyatt.

Grant

Lawson

Jasper
