Hi girls *grin*
I've had some semi-random thoughts bouncing around my head and I wanted to share them and ask for your opinion.

soooo.

1) My screen name. I've been thinking about changing it, lately. I hadn't given it much thought when I first signed up, mainly because I do have a nickname on my IM, but it wouldn't mean anything in English. So instead of coming up with a {stupid} nickname, I thought it would've been much simple and fuss-less {don't you love it that I make up my own words? Ahem.} to use my first name (: But now I'm not sure about having my first name there all the time.
It's not for privacy, per se, since my name is up on my profile; I dunno.
I loved the idea of something related to your name, but not your name itself. I remember the member Laoise, which used an Irish variation of her name. There, I love that.

so I was thinking either
- Raja, which is Arabic for Hope. {for those who don't know, Nadia means hope}
or
- Nadezhda, which would be the full Russian form of my name.
I'm leaning towards the last one, but I don't know.

Am I nuts? Should I just leave the darned thing as it is, shove this useless thoughts aside and get a life? LOL :D

2) Some combos that I've come up with, toying with my favourite names.
Just your opinions/suggestions :P

Vivian Alice -- or is Alice Vivian better?
Sofia Eleanor
Saoirse Kathleen

3) Which one is your favourite? I can't for the life of me find a middle name for Eve & Mae {major favourites!}

Eve Temperance
Eve Beatrice

Mae Cecilia/Cecelia/Cecily
Mae Christiane
Mae Violet
Mae Juliet
Mae Helena
Mae Elisabeth

4) I've found these two names and I have been so intrigued with them, in a completely good way.

Vera -- means "True;truth" in Latin. It also means "faith" in Russian.

Liesel-- dutch form of Elisabeth.

I think they are feminine with just the right touch of uniqueness. Right up my alley.

--
Thoughts?
And please, ignore how lengthy my posts are -- Yas knows I cannot stop my "motor mouth" :P
TIA!!

1) I don't think its stupid...I really like Nadezhda :P (I've also been considering changing my screen name because I think KatieB is just boring :/, and everyone else seems to have cool/interesting names)

2) LOVE Vivian Alice! Sofia Eleanor and Saoirse Kathleen are wonderful as well.

3) I think Eve Temperance is nice. I also have a problem coming up with mn for short one syllable fns. I think it needs a nice long (3 to 4 syllable) rhythmic mn. Maybe Eve Julienne, Eve Mirelle, Eve Desdemona :D

Mae Cecily, Mae Violet & Mae Elisabeth are all great :P

4) Vera -- I had a dream not long ago that my friend had a baby and named her Vera. I told her so and she was like "where did that come from" :P I think it is simple and beautiful and very underused.

Liesel-- I've always thought Liesel was a cute name, ever since THE SOUND OF MUSIC :P

1) Lol I think everyone wants to change their screen names because I do :P I like Nadezhda best! Its pretty and interesting it sounds kind of 'fairy like'.

2)
Vivian Alice: Such a pretty combo, leave it the way it is .
Sofia Eleanor: Adore this one, just gorgeous!
Saoirse Kathleen: I like the spelling of 'Saoirse' but im not loving the pronunciation, its likely to be mispronounced ALL the time.

3)
Eve Beatrice (my fav)

How about Eve Violet?

Mae Juliet (beautiful)

4)
Vera: Nice and it ages well how about Eve Vera?

Liesel: Its okay, quite unique.

Thank you so much, Katie & California! :D

Now I feel better, knowing it's not such a dumb idea :P I think if I come around changing it, I'll go with Nadezhda.

So Vivian Alice & Sofia Eleanor will be left as it is! Thank you.
As for Eve, I'm still torn, because I really love Beatrice enough to use it as a first name (:
I think Mae Christiane, Mae Juliet and Mae Helena are my favourites now, but those change so quickly! :P

I think Vera has shot up my favourites list, I just think it's so beautiful.
Do you prn. it VEE-ra or VEH-ra? In Italian, I'd use the latter, but both are pretty.

California [sorry, I don't know your name!], I know what you mean about Saoirse. It's a guilty pleasure that will probably never be used, I just wanted to find a middle name just in case. :P

And I think Eve Violet & Eve Vera are too full of the letter V, but thanks for the suggestion!

I just had an "AHA" moment for Liesel.
I've always loved the name Elisabeth, with this spelling, and was thinking of using it as a middle name there somewhere.
I think I can use the full name Elisabeth [preferably as a first name] and then use Liesel as a nickname.
What do you think?

I changed my screen name from simple Nadia to full Nadezhda. I like it a lot (:

Lol. You don't know how much you just confused me... : P

I considered changing my name to Rosie Pose at one point, because that's what everyone calls me on here, but I couldn't do it...Permanent Rose is the name I use for ever single website I ever join, and I like consistency a lot and I have a horrible problem with change, haha....

It will take a little getting used to, but I think I like it Naddie...i especially like how much thought you put into it :]

Haha, sorry Rosie dear! :P

I am horrible at change, too, so you might never know -- if people here start calling me Nadezhda all the time, I might change it again!
It's just a screen name, after all :D

Tehehehe, I only have a boringly normal name up on mine :P I haven't the slightest what I'd change it to though :0

But I like Nadezhda! It's cool! :P

Vivian Alice and Sofia Eleanor are gorgeous! <3

Beatrice is really nice! And I do love Eve Beatrice <3 I'm not sure why I don't like Temperance as a name, but it doesn't seem to click in my mind lol

Mae Juliet is so cute! I loove it!!!

Vera is super pretty! I always pronounced it Veee-rah, but that's the way I first heard it :P Both are nice <3

I adore Saoirse!!! A lot of people can't say it, but it's just so beautiful! Saoirse Kathleen is really cute, I have a lot of combo's for it... <3

Liesel sounds nice as a nickname for Elisabeth :D I can see where it'd come from! Though my nicknames never have anything to do with my name, lolol :P I haven't heard the name Liesel in a long time.. I kinda like it!

Hope I helped! ~Haddie

So I decided to change my display name too...but I kept my signature the same so hopefully it wont confuse too many people.

Katie-Nana is the nn my college roommates gave me, they also call me Nana for short. They got it from Mary Poppins. Katie Nana is the first nanny who leaves at the beginning of the movie. Also Nana is a variation of the name Anna, and since my middle name is Ann it kinda fits. :)

Yas, Haddie, "The sound of music" is "Tutti insieme appassionatamente", in Italian. Meaning "All together passionately" :)
