Please help, we have a scottish surname, I love both Cassie & Alanna, tho not Cassandra, not too happy just calling her by her nickname, husband likes both, at the moment have two middle names?!

You have two very lovely names picked out. When I was pregnant with my son, we had two boy names that we really loved.  I was torn, but I thought, if I never have another boy, which name would I regret more NOT having used? And that was what made the deciding factor. 

 

Have you tried other nicknames for Cassie? You may like: Cassidy, Cassia, or Cassondra (more similar sound to Alanna).

Cassie can be a nickname for a couple of other things, although they tend toward the odd:

 

Cassiopeia 

Cassia

Charissa/Carissa

Clarissa

Calypso

Cecilia (a bit of a stretch)

My cousin is just plain Cassie. I can totally see it standing on its own.

I do love Alanna though.
