There's a boy in my class called this, and he's so, so awful, but I just adore his name...hopefully if I ever used it I could forget about this terrible boy.

But anyway, what do you think of Keaton? I've fallen in love with it, because its unique, yet it has a familiar feel to it. It's like the perfect kind of name, in my opinion. The only combo I've come up with so far is Keaton Andrew, which I'm *really* liking, but I would love some more options.

Thanks!

I like Keaton, though it reminds me of Ronan Keating..

I like Keaton Andrew..

Also, Keaton James, Keaton Jack or Keaton Oliver. <3

I absolutuly adore the name Keaton! That was at the top of the list when DH and I found out but he said he wanted his son to have a more "Manly name" and that is sounded a little feminine. So I guess it just depends!! Keaton Andrew sounds very handsome! :)

Yeah, there's also a girl at my school called Keaton, and I'm usually not a fan of unisex names, but I definitely see Keaton as a boy's name more.

I'm absolutely in love with it....it's such a perfect name for my taste---unique yet not too out there, with a familiar feel to it. I just have to stop thinking about that awful boy in my math class...I hate it how people can ruin perfectly good names

Shockingly I've never been a fan of K names. I really dislike them. So Keaton is out for that reason.

But aside from that...Keaton is a bit awkward to say for me. I don't know if it is just me but I have a problem pron. the T so it comes out KEE-un. I'm just not a big fan of the KEE sound. Also reminds me of skeet a bit which has negative connotations.

I've been experiencing the same thing! Many names I love so much are being pushed to the back burner because of people I know who don't bring great memories to the name :D Though, opposed to that, I actually have added names because of seeing great people with the name! :)

But I like Keaton Oliver a lot!!! I'm not tooo much a fan of either name, but the names do sound wonderful together ;)

Here's some more, sorry if there's any repeats:

~ Keaton Wesley
~ Keaton Jeremiah
~ Keaton Louis
~ Keaton Luke
~ Keaton Brendan
~ Keaton Henry

~Haddie

PS. Katie, I have a hard time saying Keaton myself! I always miss the t and it sounds awkward lol. Darn my awkward speech patterns! :)

I think one of the reasons I like Keaton so much is because one of my favorite names is Cian (KEE-an)

So I guess I should ask which one you like more--Keaton or Cian?

Mmmm, that's a tough one! My way of finding which I prefer would be to find middle names for both and whichever feels more "perfect" I'd stick too! Like, the Charlotte/Scarlett thing! I love Emma Scarlett, but Juniper Charlotte won

But I think Cian wins over me, personally! I always miss the T in Keaton anyways whenever I say it, so it just works :D But, it may also help your case being you said you know a terrible kid named Keaton, so maybe Cian may help the image of him to stay away?

I've added family names into my naming list many times, honestly. But in a way, you can say your honoring him with his middle name!

Keaton feels a bit trendy to me for some reason. I love Cian as a middle name, and I don't think it would be weird at all to honor your brother.

I have a very, very small family and there aren't a lot of options. The only family names on my list right now are my only Grandmother's middle name (Jane) and Lenore, which has the same meaning as my little brother's first name. Well, I suppose there could be a family connection to Nimueh too, but it is very slight. My parent's middle names are Ralph (which makes me think of vomit), and Gayle (which I can definitely see teasing for).

Whoops, sorry for the tangent subject. Yes, I think Cian is a wonderful name and you should definitely consider it.
