What is your opinion on alliterating names? Whether it is fn/mn or fn/ln.

Eg. Erin Elizabeth, Anna Abigail

OR

Simon Smith, Bentley Brown

I personally love it. Especialyy fn/mn combos. I think it sounds really cute and it flows really nicely on most occasions.

What are some good combos?

I like it a lot! It reminds me of superheroes. However when all the name has is alliteration, I could imagine that being too much. Some that I like

Charis Cassidy
Dalia Diane
Jessamine Jules

and

Blake Brandon
Caden Christopher
Henry Harrison
Preston Parker
Issac Isidore
Timothy Trace

Alliteration is nms... It's not bad but I've seen people go overboard with it. I know one of my teachers whose initials are MM, and her husband and kids all have MM names. Too much for me.

It all depends, to me :D I mean, some sounds gorgeous! Yet others just sounds to clunky, I guess lol

I mean, Erin Elizabeth sounds beautiful! But, Bobby Bowen would sound to chunky lol!

I like first name and middle name alliterations more than first name last name ones.

Here's some alliterations that I think sound nice:

~ Madeleine Marie
~ Cadence Cassidy
~ Ilene Isabel
~ Annalie Amara
~ Jessalyn Jane
~ Nora Natalie
~ Valerie Vera/ Vera Valerie

~ Ashton Alexander
~ Teagan Thomas
~ Stephen Samuel
~ Jackson James
~ Preston Parker

Hope this helps!

I think fn/mn alliteration isnt TOO bad as long as the names dont sound too similar.

Lauren Lorraine would be a NO!
Lauren Lily maybe.

But I really dislike FN/LN alliteration. It just annoys me for some reason :\

My sister's sort of neices (they are the neices of her boyfriend/baby daddy :D ) are named...
Brittany Beach, Brooklyn Beach (no joke) and Bailey Beach.

Alliteration is fine in my books as long as the name flows. It really depends on the combo.

Some I like:

Aria Alexandra
Audra Annabel
Charlotte Cora
Eden Emmeline
Emilia Evangeline
Isabel Ivy & Ivy Isabel
Scarlett Seraphina

August Alexander
Emery Elias & Elias Emery
Julian Joseph

I agree that it can be cute, as long as it's not too extreme.

I know a little girl named Aliyah Annalynn, which is a bit much for me but still flows alright.

My little girl is Morgan Rae, and if this baby is a girl we plan to name her Molly Kay. With no plans of using M names or ryhming middle names, it just worked out that way. Morgan and Molly are 2 girls names DH and I both LOVE, and Ray is my father in law's name (I thought Rae sounded lovely with Morgan), and my mom's name is Mary Kay, and Molly is a variation of Mary. So there you have it...Molly Kay and Morgan Rae. :D If we have a boy though, his name will be Gavin James.

My step-dad's name is Donald, his ex wife's name was Diane, and his daugthers are Dawn and Darla. Dawn married David and they have a Devin and Dana, but Darla screwed up everything and married a Kyle...haha. They now have a Maddie and Owen.
