Hey all.
I was just wanting some opinions on my list of names, maybe some improvements and some boys names that would work well?
The only boy name we have is Eric Adam Brian and that's not going anywhere nor changing.
Eric Adam is from relatives that have passed away far too young (no sympathy please), and Brian is my grandfather.
Eric is definite first name and Adam and Brian aren't getting switched around because of Brian Adams!
Our family name is only one syllable beginning with F.
The way we work out names is this.
First Name: A name we like together.
Middle Name 1: A name from MY family
Middle Name 2: Husbands choice.
We can never agree on middle names which is why we have two. I love names from within the families and he likes names just because! Besides, my mother-in-law has 2 middle names and so maybe it'll turn into a family tradition!
Anyway, names!
My daughter - Willow Michelle Zelda F
Elizabeth Winifred Cambria F
Lilith Beatrice Kristina F
Winter Maureen Emma F
Ebony Doris Amelia F

I think Elizabeth "Buffy" is an adorable idea. But are you SURE you want to have Willow & Buffy? My first thought would be, Someone's a BTVS fan. If your not and using Buffy & Willow is just a coincidence, then you should be aware that that is immediately what comes to mind. If you are a BTVS fan, I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I love Buffy myself and my best friend Robin plans to name her first son Xander. I'm just wondering if you plan on having more than two kids, and if you would you feel obligated to use a BTVS name. If you have a boy, you said you plan on using Eric which has heavy familial significance. If you ended up with Willow, Buffy and Eric, with Eric having strong family connections and Willow and Buffy being named after a tv show? You may love the names, and they may have more family meaning than just being named after a tv show, but by using both of them it definitely screams BTVS where only using one (Willow) doesn't. Just a thought. The overall combo, Elizabeth Winifred Cambria flows nicely (Winifred is one of my favorite names in the middle name spot).
Winter, Willow and possible Eric poses a similar issue. You have two girls with nature names starting with W, and then you have Eric, which has strong family significance but a completely different style/feel about it. A lot of people have very different styles when it comes to boy and girl names however, Eric definitely would stand out as different with sister's Winter & Willow. On the other hand, if you don't plan on having more children, I think Winter & Willow fit nicely for sisters. I think the overall combo Winter Maureen Emma is lovely (I really like Maureen).
I'm not a huge fan of the name Ebony, however I think Ebony, Willow and Eric as a possible sib set works where Willow, Winter & Eric doesn't. Ebony has the same modern/nature feel as Willow, but also shares the first initial with Eric which allows it to sort of bridge the gap between Eric & Willow. I think the overall combo Ebony Doris Amelia has nice flow and I think the nickname Ebon would be very cute.
Lilith also sort of bridges the gap between Eric & Willow. Lilith's relation to lily gives it a somewhat nature vibe but also has more of a classic and old-fashioned feel like Eric. I wonder if the strong L sounds in both Lilith & Willow would pose some trouble. Would you use a nickname for Lilith? Try saying the two together Willow, Lilith....Lilith, Willow...Lily, Willow and see if you get tongue tied. It may not be an issue for you but Willow, Lilith is a bit difficult for me to say. Overall the combo, Lilith Beatrice Kristina is one of my favorites from your list.
Hope this helped, GL!

Thanks Katie-Nana! The hubby and I do love Buffy but we're using the names because we love them not because of the connection to the show and if people think of the TV show than that's okay by me! (Also Winifred is a character from Angel (aka Fred) but it was my great Nan's name so that's a bit of a cool coincidence for us). Buffy would be our next daughter should we have one (and I'd love another little girl before a boy! But whatever comes next I'll be proud of and love for all of eternity!)
I've loved Winter for a girl for ages. A few years now (about 10 I think, possibly longer) and it's not one I ever think I'll get around to using (unless we suddenly win the lotto or I have triplet girls!). I never thought I liked nature names that much until I wrote out all the names that I liked and realised that most were nature ones!
Ebony would probably be Ebbi or Eb. I don't know why I used this name (I think I had a dream about it) but it was the name I used for my lead character in a book I was writing. The more I used it the more I fell in love with it and I agree, it does tie Willow and Eric quite well together. The best out of all the options I think.
Lilith would be Lilith to me and Lil to my husband and probably everyone else. It's one of my most favourite names but the hubby's not so keen on it which is why it's lower down the list but not too low!
If you had any thoughts on other boys names that would go well with Willow and Eric it'd be great to see your opinions. The hubby and I just can't agree on any boys names.
