Hello there! I am wanting to write a novel based upon the lives of highschoolers that get mixed up in old Greek myths and stories. It is going to be an adventure/fantasy story loosely based around Greeks myths. I have a list of girl character names, and I really like them all, but I only want three's major girl charactersand iI don't know which names to pick!! That's where you come in!(: please read the list of names and the three character descriptions and comment what your opinion is of what names I should use! Any and.all comments will be taken into account and i thank you in advance!

Girl names;
Candice Palmer
Elliana Owens
Raven McNeil
Meg Daniels
Corin Myers
Sandra Malone
Mara Ford

Now here are the character descriptions
G1: She is a strawberry blonde with shoulder length curls, gray eyes, fair skin, and 5’ 6. She is very sarcastic and witty, loves classic novels and thrift stores. Her parents are hippies and she has a little brother named Harlem. She is Caucasian (a mix of French, Canadian, and English.)

G2: She has jet black hair that is board straight and waist length, dark ocean blue eyes, large glasses, and is 5'3. She is a very quiet girl that likes cooking and painting. She has 2 Eskimo puppies named Yin and Yang. She is half-Chinese half-German.

G3: She has dark brown hair(mermaid like waves past her shoulders), bright brown eyes with a golden tone, olive tone skin, and stands 5' 10. This girl is the.talker, willing to speak her mind. She is very athletic but also likes fashion. She is half Greek/Cherokee Indian.

Please help! also, you can combine the names.if you thinks thats best. Thank you!

I can see Corin Meyers for either of them to be honest.

G1: Mara Ford (Mara nn for Meredith, name of the girl in Brave XD), or Elliana Owens (mostly for the last name.)
G2: Raven McNeil
G3: Candice Palmer, Sandra Malone (Maybe even Cassandra? It's got Greek myth connections.)

I think Corin Myers could work for any of them and is probably my fav. of your names.

Ah thank you! I really like Corin Myers too (even though I came up with all the names lol) and I'm definitely using that. Thanks again!

G1:Sandra Malone. I can picture that name with Harlem and the hippie parents.
G2: Mara Ford. Mara could work for me visually as a Chinese or German girl. Raven may work, but I don't think the last name works for the character.
G3:Elliana Owens. That name totally sounds like the visual picture of the girl to me.

Good luck! :)

I don't know why - but this is my gut instinct:
G1 - Candice Palmer
G2 - Mara Ford
G3 - Elliana Owens

For some reason I just think they work :)

G1: Meg Daniels fits the character description more, but with hippy parents and a brother named Harlem, I feel Meg might be a little tame. Maybe it could be a nickname for Nutmeg? or Meghana (sanskrit meaning thunder) or Meghaja (sanskrit meaning born of the clouds, rain)?

G2: Wouldn't she need a German or Chinese sounding last name? Personally I'd go with a chinese surname, maybe Lin, Tan or Chen? Using your first names: Sandra Lin, Mara Tan, Candice Chen?

G3: Again would she have a Greek last name? A good bit of cherokee indians mixed with the Scottish highlanders that settled in the southeastern US, so a Scottish last name could work as well: McNeil or Malone. I think Raven McNeil or Raven Malone would work. Raven Malone would be my choice.

Also since you are using the names in the same story, you want to think about how they work together. Are any of the names too similar? If you use Meg, then you probably shouldn't use Mara since both names are short and start with M. Sandra & Candice would be too similar since they both have similar beginnings. I once wrote a story with a father and son named James & Jeremy (both had rather large parts in the story) and everyone in my writing class told me that they kept getting the two confused. Just keep that in mind when choosing names for your characters.

I think G1 should be Candice or Ellinora.
G2: meg or Mara
G3: defiantly CORIN! But it will look cuter if you spell it Corinne. ;)
