Hey,
Me and my husband are expecting our first child, a girl (!!!)
We want the girls name to fit into one of these themes, but don't know where to look!
Lord of the Rings (but don't like Arwen)
Harry Potter (but don't like Hermione or Ginny or Luna)
Wuthering Heights (but don't like Cathy, or Emily)
Pride and Prejudice (but still don't like most girls names :( )
We do want the name to fit into one if our themes if possible, but other names we have considered are Brontë and Pharaoh.

Help?
Thanks, Anita and Jay

Hey Anita,
Finding names which fit into a specific theme is pretty hard!
Hope you like my suggestions!
Some good Harry Potter names are:
Lily
Molly
Nymph (short for nymphadora)
Rowena
Ali
Pansy
Petunia
You'll find all of these names in the Harry Potter books.

I love names related to literature :)
Let's see...

Lord of the Rings
Eowyn
Galadriel
Elanor

Harry Potter
Ginevra
Molly
Andromeda
Minerva
Rowena
Lilly
Bellatrix
Helena
Joanne

J.K Rowling looked into Mythology, Old English and Latin names for inspiration. Maybe you could do the same.

Wuthering Heights
Catherine
Isabella
Frances
Ellen
Mary
Emily Bronte published her writings under the pen name Ellis Bell.
You could also look into names names from the Victorian Era.

Pride and Prejudice

Jane
Elizabeth
Mary
Catherine
Lydia
Caroline
Georgiana
Charlotte
Anne
Darcy
Austen
You could also look for names belonging to the Regency Era for more inspiration.

I hope this helps!

Katie
Angelina "Lina"
Alicia
Narcissa
Bellatrix "Bella"
Minerva

I'll bold my favourite from the bunch :)

Lord of the Rings:

Lobelia- Frodo sells Bagend to her
Rosie- Who becomes Sam's wife
Eowyn- Theoden's niece

There aren't that many female leads other than Arwen.

Harry Potter:

Lily- Harry's mother and daughter
Rose- Hermione and Ron's daughter
Minerva- McGonagall
Ariana- Dumbledore's sister
Molly- Ron's mother
Lavender- Ron's first girlfriend
Fleur- Marries Ron's brother, Bill
Gabrielle- Fleur's sister
Victoire- Fleur and Bill's daughter
Daphne- A Slytherin girl
Pansy- Draco's wannabe girlfriend
Astoria- Draco's wife
Narcissa- Draco's mother
Hannah- Abbott, the first name called during Harry's sorting
Angelina- Marries George, I think
Alicia- Spinnet, a quidditch player
Andromeda- Tonks' mother's name
Nymphadora- Tonks' real name
Bellatrix- Lestrange, evil witch
Parvati- Harry's date to the Yule Ball, and roommate to Hermione
Alice- Neville's mother's name
Arabella- Ms Figg's first name
Cassandra- Prof. Trelawney's first name
Helena- Rowena Ravenclaw's daughter
Rowena- Ravenclaw's founder
Helga- Hufflepuff's founder
Katie- Bell, a quidditch player

Wuthering Heights:

Ellen "Nelly"- Servant and narrator
Isabella- Part of the Linton family
Zillah- The housekeeper

Pride and Predjudice:

The Sisters-

Jane
Elizabeth
Mary
Kitty (probably short for Katherine)
Lydia

Others-

Charlotte- Elizabeth's friend
Caroline- Mr Bingley's sister
Louisa- Mr Bingley's sister
Anne- Both the mother of Mr Darcy and his so-called fiancee's name
Georgiana- Mr Darcy's sister
Catherine- As in Lady Catherine, Mr Darcy's... aunt?
Maria- Charlotte's sister

I would use Brontë as a middle name over a first, though for some reason I do like it. I'm not a fan of Pharaoh, though.

I actually know a family with a Lord of the Rings sibset theme. Two girls, Eowyn and Galadriel, but they spelled Eowyn "Aowyn". I think Aowyn sounds very pretty, and Galadriel went by Gagie for a nickname.

As far as Harry Potter, Lily is very common and people probably won't get the reference. And Nymph? Nymphomaniac? No way Jose.
