What do you think of the name Elspeth? I heard it on an episode of of Supernanny I saw a bit ago....

It's the Irish? I'm not positive but it's form of Elizabeth. I don't care for it but I think that it looks cool.

Its Scottish, and it is a form of Elizabeth. I think the name would work good on a fanstasy character, maybe like a fairy. But I don't like it enough to even consider using it in real life. You're right Tora, it does just look cool though (:

It looks made up to me.

It looks like they tried to sound out "Elizabeth" and went totally wrong.

I knew it came from somewhere near there!

I agree completly! It was one of the names I'm using for a minor character in a story I'm writing about fairies!

I might use it as a mn. because I love the way it looks!

Elspeth sounds like a sister of the Lady MacBeth and the Three Witches.
