I love the name Blake for a girl! Or Blakely, Blakelyn...? What do you think? I need some advice! Also, if you like it could you suggest some middle names? Please help, I appreciate it!

Blake could go either way. I think of it as more of a boy name, but if you like it for a girl, that is fine too. Maybe use a really femminine middle name?

Blake Marie
Blake Jeanette
Blake Emilia
Blake Victoria
Blake Evelyn

I like it for a girl, but I do agree that it should be paired with a very feminine middle name! Good Luck!

I'm not a fan of unisex names so, Blake isn't my favorite on a girl. But if you love it, use it. It should be paired with a longer, more feminine middle name though.

Blake Aurora
Blake Ariella
Blake Arianna
Blake Savannah
Blake Amelia
Blake Jasmine
Blake Olivia/Alivia
Blake Isla
Blake Madeleine
Blake Cassidy
Blake Hannah

Blake Makenna sounds good. Blakelyn & Blakely are too cutsie/trendy for me. Blake Violet would be nice though!

Blake is a BEAUTIFUL name for a boy or girl.
In fact...we loved it so much that we named our 2nd daughter Blayke (see siggy) but we mostly call her Trinity but occassionally I call her Blayke. My husband chose this name after we had Tayten & the lady who shared the post partum room with me had a daughter the day before named Blake. He fell in love with it & thus...Trin's MN became Blayke.

I think the "y" makes it look more feminine.

YES - USE IT if you love it!

Blakelyn and Blakely look to me like someone tried to append a girly suffix to the name and failed. (No offense or anything, I just don't like the names.) Blake is fine though. I like Blake Julienne or Blake Sandrine (nm for Alexandrine).

I LOVE Blake for a boy or girl. I think it's so cute on a girl though!

I don't, however, like Blakely or Blakelyn. I suggest sticking with Blake.

Blake needs a more feminine middle name like;

Blake Grace
Blake Juliet
Blake Scarlett (or Scarlett Blake)
Blake Leigh (instead of Blakely)
Blake Lyn/n/e (Instead of Blakelyn)
Blake Rose
Blake Emmeline
Blake Nouveau (New-vo)

Good luck, hope I helped!

Thanks for all the help! So far I like...
Blake Emmeline
Blake Juliette
Blake Makenna
I'm liking the 3 syllable middle names with Blake.
This is way harder than I thought!

I really dislike boy names on girls, so I don't like Blake, or any of the variations, on a girl. I wouldn't use it, but that's me.

I see it as a boy name, and the rest of the USA does apparently as well: for boys, Blake ranks at #89. For girls, it's nowhere on the top 1000 names. I'd especially suggest not using it as a girls name since Blake it so immensely popular as a boy's name.

If you like Blake, you might like: Blaire, Brynn, Breanna, Brooke, Harper, Drew, Haley, Jordan, Jade, Quinn, Riley, Sierra, Paige....

I know someone who named their daughter Gabby Blaike. I think its okay as a middle name. Though I'm not a big fan of the name Blake for either gender.
