I prefer Meredith, although you can't go wrong with either.

Allison definitely. Meredith is extremely dated. Not suitable for a child imo

I vote Meredith. Nice name, and I don't think it's dated.

I like both a lot, but yeah, Meredith edges out the win for me!

They both make me think of Saved By the Bell era names, and if that is 'dated' then I'm getting old! LOL

I prefer Meredith, but I really think Allison Meredith has a nice flow to it.

It really depends on the baby's surname as to which one would flow better, but just taking the single names by themselves, I think I prefer Allison, but only because of the nickname potential. Both names are nice and very usable, so you can't really go wrong with either name.

Well I'm an Allison (great choice in spelling by the way) so I'm obviously biased. I love my name, I know a lot of girls my age (early 20s) with it, but most of them go my Ally/Allie/Alli, etc. If you're going to actually call her Allison, I like it best. However, I'm also a big Grey's Anatomy fan. So I like Meredith too! I
