I love nick names! For me, personally, it's a must.
My son is Archer Cohen Bear E. with the intention of Ace as a nick name (initials) cause OH liked it (a C middle was a must for him, Cohen honors an amazing woman for me <3). Archer nn Archie or Archibald.
Some nick names I like are these (some are a stretch, but...)

Mariposa "Posey"
Octavia "Tae" "Vivi"
Cordelia "Coco"
Lucinda "Indy"
Rosemary "Romy"
Harriet "Hattie"
