My husband has two daughters from his first marriage. We never see them and they are grown and gone. His oldest daughter's middle name is Elizabeth and I have loved that name forever because it is a family name. Since we have absolutely no contact with the girls, is it okay for me to use Elizabeth?

And what are six great names to go as a first name?

As a first or middle name??

Since it is only her middle name I think it would be okay to use it. But It might be nice to ask her "How would you feel if we named her Elizabeth?"

I don't think it's a problem. I would ask her about it too though.

Never hurts to ask her :D I'm sure she may even feel honored! <3

What does your husband think of that though? Two of his kids with the middle name Elizabeth? (Just curious lol, seems a bit odd :D )

Not sure why style of names you like, but I think these names would sound gorgeous with Elizabeth!

Here's some traditional names:
~ Katherine Elizabeth (my all time favorite! :P )
~ Sarah Elizabeth
~ Anna Elizabeth
~ Charlotte Elizabeth
~ Alice Elizabeth
~ Calla Elizabeth

Here's some nature names:
~ Raine Elizabeth
~ Willow Elizabeth
~ Heather Elizabeth
~ Fern Elizabeth
~ Brooke Elizabeth
~ Juniper Elizabeth

Here's some unisex names:
~ Peyton Elizabeth
~ Andie Elizabeth
~ Remy Elizabeth
~ Ashton Elizabeth
~ Blake Elizabeth
~ Taylor Elizabeth

And here's a mix of other types of names! :D
~ Leila Elizabeth
~ Nora Elizabeth
~ Marissa Elizabeth
~ Piper Elizabeth
~ Keirstin/Kirsten Elizabeth
~ Natalie Elizabeth

Hope this helps!

I'd say it's absolutely okay. Elizabeth is such a well-known and classic name I'm not even sure how anyone would make a big deal out of it. Personally, I'd go with Eliza. That's just me, though. It's my favorite name.

Avril Elizabeth
Phoebe Elizabeth
Shannon Elizabeth
Noelle Elizabeth
Grace Elizabeth
Fiona Elizabeth
Diane Elizabeth
Juliet Elizabeth

I suppose it would be okay to use it but not okay because you really wouldn't want the daughter to like get all evil and mean on you for using her name though she could care less or something it a 50/50 situation.
