Luke and Mark are brothers. They grew up in Georgia with a [content replaced] cruel father and their mother, the submissive, dutiful housewife - very maternal, but unable (and unwilling?) to stand up to her husband.
When they leave home, Luke and Mark change their surnames to really break away from that family and I have their new last names figured out, but I need a few things:
- Original surname. I want something that brings to mind old Southern (Georgian) wealth. The family's status has been on the decline for years, but I want something that still sounds wealthy and impressive, something their father would be proud of and boast about.
- Should they have changed their first names, too? If so, what should their first names have been to begin with?
- Mom's name: can't decide between Luella, Eula, Lois, and Lou Ethel. What do you think?
- First name for dad
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An easy way to find more names would be to look up county, street and place names in GA.

Thanks!
I've decided on Ashby for the surname I managed to name all except one.
The parents are Clyde and Eula Ashby and the younger brother is Loren Mark Ashby. Now I just need to name Luke. I thought about letting his first name be Lucas, but I'm wondering if not making Lucas or Luke the middle name and giving him a different sort of first name, like with Loren Mark.
Any suggestions?
