I'm normally not a fan of alternate spellings but Martin loves the name Jason, nn Jace. I like it but I don't like how it looks. I've play with Jayson, Jaysen and Jasen but I don't really like any of them. Ideas on spellings that don't look totally odd?

Jaison/Jaisen/Jaisan/Jaisin
Jasin
Jaeson/Jaesin/Jaesan/Jaesen
Jaysin/Jaysan

This really all I can think of that doesn't push the envelope to much. Personally I'm not a fan of any form of Jason, though if I really had to pick one Jasin would be it. :P

Hope this helps.

P.s. An alternative that still kind of close, perhaps, Jensen? Just a thought.

I personally like Jayson a lot... it doesn't look too odd. The farther off you go from the original spelling, the odder I think it'll look. I do like Jason nick name Jace though! <3

Extra 'y's aren't really my style but I think that Jaysin is kinda cool.
We have a friend who's name is just Jace. His dad didn't like Jason, so it's just plain ole Jace. Martin suggested Jacen. Although I really to like Jensen. I might have to run it by Martin.

I'm not a fan of Jason either, but Jasin and Jaisin would be my picks. I even kind of like Jacen  Jensen is one of my faves, always has been! (When I found out my favorite actor was named Jensen (Jensen Ackles  ) I loved it even more, even though I'd be afraid to use in case people thought of him!)

Martin got Jason from the actor Jason Statham.
Jacen is starting to grow on me, I might have to play around with it a bit.

I like the traditional spelling. Anything but Jason, to me, looks awkward.

Jayson is okay, but I dislike adding random "y"s to names.

Thanks Jay, I think I might like Jaycen a bit more than Jacen. I don't know.

Thinking school wise, would most people know it's pronounced Jason if it was spelled Jacen/Jaysen? I have an uncommon name (around here) but not unheard of and I have to correct how people say my name a lot. I know that with either you'd have to correct the spelling.
