Jayson's middle name is Satterwhite and we both really want to keep it in the family. Considering he's adopted, and still has his birth name we're unsure if it's a middle name or if it's a maiden/last name.

I'm unsure whether we should just use it as a middle name for one of our future sons or as a double last name.

He doesn't have an opinion on the topic.

What do you think?

If it means something special to you or you want to keep it in the family I say definitely use it.

I think as a middle name for a future son would be nice. I'm not too big on double middle names unless necessary.

I completely agree. I like it better for a boy rather than a girl

Boy or girl, if it means something, use it. I once knew a girl named Elizabeth Spindler Mitchell...Spindler was her mom's maiden name, and she was actually really proud of her unique middle name! And Satterwhite isn't even something totally awful! I think it has a sort of quirky charm. :)
