These are my favorites (ones I LOVE are starred):
Eleanor* (nn Ella) – on my list! Although I’m not huge on Ella just because it’s so popular. Maybe Ellie or Nora?
Rose* – A classic that will never go out of style. It’s so overused as a mn, but I LOVE it as a fn.
Delilah – I like Lilah better, but Delilah is pretty.
Alice – So cute.
Grace* -- Love. So pretty as a fn. I would use it if it weren’t so popular.
Lily * -- See Grace.
Harper – To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books ever. I’m not huge on the name itself but I would consider using it just for that connotation (if that makes any sense at all!).
Marley – Cute, but people might think of the movie Marley and Me.
Calla * -- On my list. I just think it’s so pretty, and a nice alternative to the ever so popular Lily.
Ada * -- On my list too! I love its elegant simplicity.
London/Londyn – Definitely use the first spelling. Unnecessary ‘y’s bother me and just look awkward. One of the few place names that I don’t mind.
Jaymes – This would have a star if it were spelled James. I think it would still be special even without the y. It’s such a great name and nothing about it needs to change.
William (nn Will) *– One of my all-time favorite boys’ names. You said it has special family meaning too, which makes it even better.
Alexander* – Classic and handsome. I love it as a middle name.
Clinton – This is kind of cute, but it might be associated with Bill Clinton. Depending on your political views that might either be a good or really bad thing.
Bryant -- Nice alternative to the ever-popular and dated Brian/Bryan.
Elliott* -- Love this. It’s so handsome and strong, and looks really nice too.
Emmett* -- On my list. See Elliott.
Grant* -- I love this. It’s a classic without being overly popular. It would make a great mn too.
Jackson (nn Jack) – I much prefer just Jack, though Jackson is nice too.
Noah* -- I love this name, so much. It would be on my list if it weren’t so darn popular. I know too many Noah’s to ever use it.
Jude* -- One of my fave boy names at the moment. It’s simple but unique, and it always reminds me of the Beatles
Jonah – A nice, strong Biblical name. I like but don’t LOVE it.
Lennon – Also reminds me of the Beatles (which is a great thing). It’s one of the few surnames that I think works great as a first name.
Luke – So handsome. Much prefer it to Lucas.
Nathaniel (nn Nathan) * -- Love. On my list too, though I prefer nn Nate. Nathan sounds a bit trendy to me.
Owen* -- Also on my list, and one of my all-time favorite boys’ names.
Simon – Strong Biblical name that isn’t overly popular.
Theodore (nn Theo) – I think the nn Theo is adorable, not a huge fan of Theodore though.
West (hubby's mn is Wesley) – How about using Wesley? West is a little to “cowboy” sounding for me, but it’s cute.
Sawyer – Another surname that I actually like as a fn.
Roman – I know a Roman, and he is an adorable little boy. I like that this is different. I usually don’t like trendy names, but I really like this for some reason.
You have some great names! Thanks for commenting on my list
