I am pregnant with our first child. If it's a girl, I want to name her Abbie Grace. But my husband wants to name her Autumn Sophia. We are butting heads. Which do you think is better?

I like Abbie, but I don't think it would age well. Why not name here Abigail Sophia (nice compromise) and give her the nn Abbie?

Autumn ages better and is less common. Both names are great though!

I like Abigale Grace only because I would not name my child after a season she was not born in (Winter is a nice name :) I also think giving her the the full name Abigale is best because it will age better but you and your family can call her Abbie :)

I definitely have to say Abbie Grace.
Autumn just sounds so ridiculous for a baby's name.

I like Autumn Sophia. When you have a small middle name, such as Grace or Sophia, a longer first name flows better. But if it was Abigail, then it's a close call. Because, as others have pointed out, both Abigail and Autumn age really nicely.

I personally am not a fan of Autumn Sophia at all. Not into naming children after seasons (or months of the year, or holidays). I do LOVE Abigail Grace. It is timeless and sounds so classy. As for compromises, Sophie Grace (or Sophia Grace) sounds nice.

Autumn Sophia
Abbie Grace

Okay, given the choice, I choose Abbie Grace.

Autumn is a season. I also knew a dog named this so that might add to the dislike in naming a child this. It ages poorly.
Sophia is a beautiful name! Ages like a charm! Ha! Sophie or Sophia, it is classy and elegant.
Abbie. I would strongly consider Abigail or Abriella. Abbie is an adorable name for a child, however it also ages poorly. Naming her Abigail and calling her Abbie will be, in my opinion, much easier for the child as an adult (and child).
Grace. Very cute! Sort of sounds like a filler but it isn't bad.

Why not comprimise? COnsider:

Sophia Grace
Abigail Sophia
Abigail Autumn
Sophia Abigail
Autumn Grace
Grace Autumn

Wow, for a strange reason, Autumn is growing on me. I would go with Grace Autumn or Abigail Autumn or Abigail Sophia.

Best of luck with the naming and raising of your precious baby girl!

Aureline "Aurie"
Auriel
Aurelia
Audrey "Audie"
Aura
Abigail or Abigale "abbie"
These are all nice compromises. I love Autumn but I would only suggest naming a child after a season that they are born in. Abigale Sophia is a nice suggestion as previously posted but find something that you both truely love. You'll probably end up calling her muffin or pumkin or something anyway.

I really like both choices, but I prefer Abby Grace. However I would use Abigail Grace nn Abby. I like the suggestion of Abigail Sophia. That's a good compromise.

How about Autumn Grace or Abbie Sophia. They both sound good and its a compromise so you both get a part of the name you wanted
