Ok, so for the last couple if days I have been secretly crushing on the name Posey. I know it's a little bit out there and probably too cutesy, but I can't get it off my mind! It will most likely turn into one of my guilty pleasure names, but I just wanted to know what people thought about the name Posey for a little girl.

I've got a sweet spot for Posey, I know a little girl with the name. I think it is more wearable than similar Poppy personally. And it has the adorable literary nickname Poe built right in. I probably wouldn't use it myself, unless it was maybe in the middle spot. I wouldn't bat an eye if I met another girl named Posey, and I think though it does sound kind of cutesy, it would age just fine. Before we know it, Kynslieygh and her sister Princess and brother Rogue will be running businesses and being president, so Posey wouldn't stick out at all. If anything, she'd stick out for being the classiest imo!

Isabella Posey would be really cute. If you used Posey as the fn, maybe Posey Victoria? The little girl I know is named Posey Eden-Ann. Not the best flow but still cute. I think Eden Posey would be better.

I think Posey is very cute. You're right though, it's kind of cutesy. I think it would work as a nickname for Josephine, if you're looking for something that will age a little better but still give you the cute nn option.

Addison made a good point, though. There are a lot of kids with worse names out there these days. I heard a mother call her little boy Bullet at work a few weeks ago, and my sister has a little girl named Kynadie at her dance studio. By comparison, Posey is a tame, reasonable choice.
