For a book I want to start, I need a name for a baby that is found by pirates. The short version of the plot is pretty much that she's found floating in the ocean by one of them, and they decide to name her after the crew member that found her (they ARE pirates after all. They wouldn't name her something ridiculously girly). But, I want her to still have a traditional olden-day girls name because of the plot, though she'd still go by the guys name most of the time. I also want to use her name as the title of the book, so it can't be generic or anything.

An example would be Charlotte nickname Charlie or Cassandra nickname Andie (both of which have been considered by me).

Thanks to everyone who helps <3

I'm kind of torn between Tatiana "Tate" and Lucretia "Luca", but I'm leaning further towards Tate because it seems to fit better. Another one I'm considering is Emmeline with the nickname Emery, but I'm not sure if that would work :/

I do love Aurora, but it's just too cliche for a book title in my opinion. I dunno. Plus, it always reminds me of Sleeping Beauty. Elizabeth has the same problem. People would pick up my book in the stores (if it got published) and think that it was about Queen Elizabeth.

I've narrowed my options down to Jaqueline "Jack" or Tatiana "Tate", but I'll probably end up using Tatiana. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!!
