Not sure whats up with my mood lately, but nature names are all the rage in my mind! Not only names though, I've been buying lots of floral patterned outfits, flowy dresses, wearing natural colors, little makeup (and only natural looks), and been styling flowers in my hair. I feel like such a dork, haha! But, whatever floats my boat ;)

Anyways, nature names! Here are the ones on my mind lately, but I'd love more suggestions and some opinions! It's mainly girls names that I like nature-esque. But, I'm opened to those too.

~ Willow (Willow Elisabeth and Willow Juliet)
~ Schuyler (Has sky sound in it, lol. Amelie Schuyler/Schuyler Amelie and Ava Schuyler).
~ Fern (Rebecca Fern, maybe? Unsure :l)
~ Juniper (Juniper Charlotte)
~ Lark (Emma Lark)
~ Brooklyn (Brooklyn Aurelia)
~ Forrest (Lionel Forrest, Forrest Blake, Forrest Gavin? Need help on this one..)
~ Flint (Ronan Flint and Flint Clayton)
~ Violet (Sophia Violet)
~ Ivy (Ivy Celeste, Ivy Celina, Ivy Seraphina, Ivy Calliope)

This is all I've got so far :) I have some sib sets running through my mind as well, only a couple so far:

~ Willow, Scuyler, and Forrest
~ Fern and Ivy
~ Schuyler and Flint
~ Willow and Forrest

Yupp. Thats it so far! My two loves are Willow and Forrest at this very second. But, would I sound like a hippy to use all nature names, what do you think? Cause I am one of those nuts who uses the canvas bags instead of the plastic when shopping, I recycle, and I use the least amount of chemicals as possible. And especially as of lately, I've been dressing with all my flowers and flowy styles lol! I'm really not that huge into nature and all... but yeah! I just like these sort of things... You couldn't pay me to go camping in a tent and all... I HATE IT. Been doing it for years and continue to. I like observing nature from a distance haha! But I love how romantic Willow sounds, a lot of nature names are romantic, comfy, and all pleasant and stuff <3

Thanks for any suggestions or comments! ;) Don't be affraid to be bold in your comments- I honestly NEVER get offended. All are open to their opinions, and all. As long as it's not outright rude haha! <3

I LOVE nature names! Mostly flower names (Lily, Primrose, Azalea, Zinnia....), but I've found bird names are quite cool as well. Things like Wren, Robin, Lark, Kestrel, stuff like that. I doubt I'd ever use most of them, but I constantly pick them for characters and such.

Does Brooklyn count as a nature name? I've always thought of it just as a place (forgive me if I'm wrong)...

I've thought of Primrose, but it feels a bit too frilly for my taste :) And I kinda do like Robin! I love plant names, especially! Bird names are cute, love Lark ;)

I guess Brooklyn is technically not a nature name. I think of it as Brooke and Lyn, so in that sense it might work, do you think? But Brooklyn is the place in NY so it is a place name <3

Ah, that makes a little more sense! I've never been partial to the name Brooke myself (or Brooklyn, for that matter), but when I look at it the way you do, instead of as the place name, it's kinda sweet :)

Yeah, Primrose is a bit frilly, but ever since I read Hunger Games, it's been growing on me. Awh, Prim <3

Hehe, Robin Hood is one of my favourite characters ever, so Robin is a boys name to me. Though, I do know a girl called Robyn, but she's so tomboyish, it seems oddly masculine.

If you needed another boys name, there's always River.

As a place name, it does seem.... tough, rough, and stuff of that sort (lol that all rhymed!). Ive been starting to like Brooke/Brooklyn moreso at this moment than before myself :) It feels sweeter as Brooke and Lyn then like the city...

OoOo, I heard something about The Hunger Games, but not much :/ Was it really good? ;) Prim is such a girly, cute nick name!! But the amount of frills in it isn't me... maybe if I could picture it on a person better it might help. But yeah.

Robin... I read a book with a girl named Robin and she was... a bad person haha! Not baaad, but bad lol. Skanky and stuff. But I still like the name... just has a bit of a bad impression.. but it sounds so pretty when said out loud!

River, I have thought of. I was a bit unsure though, cause I can't picture a Grandpa River? I think Riv is a handsome nick name though ;)

I love nature names. (:

-Willow Julliett is really pretty.
-I LOVE Schuyler, as you already know. Amelie Schuyler is my favorite from your list. (:
-I personally am not a huge fan of Fern. I would definately use it as a middle name, with a longer first name. (i.e. Adrienne Fern? Alexia Fern?)
-Not a huge fan of the name, Juniper. But I really like how it flows with Charlotte!
-Emma Lark is okay. I personally just have a thing with short middle names needing to go with longer first names. (i.e. Dakota Lark? Emerson Lark?)
-LOVING Brooklyn Aurelia. :) It's so pretty!
-I really like the name, Forrest for a boy! Out of the names you have listed, My favorites would have to be Forrest Blake and Forrest Gavin.
-Flint is another okay name for me. Not a huge fan, but if it's paired with the perfect middle/first name, it could be adorable! I really like Ronan Flint from your list!
-Sophia Violet is also really pretty! It sounds very elegant and would age well.
-Ivy Celina is gorgeous! It's another elegant and classy name. ;)

Suggestions for Forrest:
Jayson Forrest
Ryland Forrest
Dawson Forrest
Donovan Forrest
Caleb Forrest
Cody Forrest
Grayson Forrest

Forrest Ryland
Forrest Russell
Forrest Spencer
Forrest Logan
Forrest Walker
Forrest Gray
Forrest Randall

Okay, so when I first saw this post, I assumed that we were naming lists of nature names. So, that's what I did. But then I re-read the first post and I was like "that's not what she meant at all..." But since I can't remove my post, there's a list of nature names that I really like. I'm not trying to steal your thunder or anything, Haddie. My bad...lol.

Additional input on my list (while it's up here...might as well ask for opinions!) is welcome...lol.

Girls:
Phoenix
Sparrow (middle name)

Camellia
Dahlia
Ember

Aspen
Laken
Larkin
Sage
Skye (middle name)
Echo
Isla

Lily

Boys:
Phoenix
Ash(er)
Talon
Sage
Bear (middle name)

Aspen
Storm

I LOVE these names! (:

Thanks!! ;)

I love Willow Juliet so much right now!! <3 And Amelie Schuyler <3 Brooklyn Aurelia feels so... Idk, beautiful! I think it might be a definate keeper! Sophia Violet I am liking a lot... especially seeing as I can't find a perfect middle name for Sophia :/ And I think I might even use Ivy Celina some time!!! Celina is after my best friend ever, so it has so much meaning to me! <3

I definitely agree with Fern, a longer fn. Cause it feels too young and soft to go as a first name. Plus its short <3 I kinda like Alexia Fern!

Dakota Lark is kinda nice as well! I do like it, but I like Emerson on a boy. It has the 'son' at the end, which makes me think boy! <3 I tend to like more feminine names for the most part. Though I definitely have exceptions! (ie Remy is what I'm called, Avery, Teagan, Andie, Drew, Ryan/Riley, etc).

Flint I'd have to think of, cause I named my first pokemon Flint so it kinda makes me think of the little fire dragon guy :D Haha! But I think if it had the right first name it could work (:

I like these of the suggestions you gave!

Jayson Forrest
Rylan Forrestt (I kinda like Ryland, but I'm unsure this very second <3 Gotta say it out loud a few times! )
Dawson Forrest
Grayson Forrest
Forrest Rylan(d)
Forrest Logan

Haha, no worries! Might as well get two birds with one stone :P

Girls:
Phoenix ~ the more I hear it, the more I kinda like it. But I'd never use it myself <3
Sparrow (middle name) ~ As a middle name, totally! I think I might like it for a boy, actually. Do you mind if I tinker with it and see if I like it for my list? ;)
Camellia ~ OoOo! Like! I used to kinda like Camille, but then it turned ehh. Camelia/Camellia sounds fresh and all!
Dahlia ~ LIKE! I really like it, actually ;) I'd like to steal this one as well?
Ember ~ Okay, not my style. But cute!
Aspen ~ I used to love it! And I completely brushed off all the negative comments people made about the a$$ pin sound. Until one of my friends called and told me he broke up with his gf Aspen and it honestly did sound too much like that :x I had to have him repeat her name like, five times! :) So it kinda ruined it for me :/
Laken ~ I kinda like Lake on a boy, actually! Another steal?! Sorry if I wanna steal so many!
Larkin ~ I'm unsure if I like Lark or Larken better (:
Sage ~ I'm unsure, I think I really like it but could never use it myself <3
Skye (middle name) ~ Cuuuute!
Echo ~ Used to love it, unsure now :x It looks neat, and sounds cool. But I can't feel if it's formal enough to live a life with, as little Echo, teenage Echo, first job Echo, grandma Echo? I don't know... :L
Isla ~ Adorable! I never thought of this as a nature name before, actually. Maybe I'm just confused haha! <3
Lily ~ Lily is cute! I'm having difficulty deciding if I like it enough to use myself or just one of those names I think are adorable on someone elses kiddo.

Boys:
Phoenix ~ I prefer on a boy, I think. Kinda same opinion as the before one though <3
Ash(er) ~ I love Ash! Asher is super handsome as well! Though, I prefer Ashton myself. I hate liking the one thats more trendy and all, but oh well.
Talon ~ Like! Might want (;
Sage ~ I prefer on a girl. But cute!
Bear (middle name) ~ Like! I call my little brother Bear (: Joshy Bear haha! <3
Aspen ~ Same as above, though more feminine to me <3
Storm ~ Handsome and strong!

Well, I hope I helped you! To return the favor of the help you gave me (:

Its a cute pattern ;)

~ Willow: Mmm, I always adored this name.. and forgive me if I ruin it for you.. but a radio host mentioned to her co-host, that she was planning on naming her daughter Willow.. and he said that Willow is a 'strippers' name.. and then she didn't use the name!! Ever since I just relate the name back to what he said ;) Sorry if I ruined the name for you!!
~ Schuyler: Now I know how to pronounce this!! Im finding it quite cute!! I do prefer the spelling Skyler/Skylar though... but your spelling isnt as trendy and seems much more like a little girls name ;) Im liking it!!
~ Fern: Awwwwwww! Charlotte's Web :D :D hehe, I like it!!
~ Juniper: Not a fan, this sounds silly but... A) idk how to pronounce it.. and :) the 'spelling' reminds me of a jumper.. though I dont know if you use the word 'jumper' in America so yeah :P
~ Lark: Emma Lark is heaps cute!!
~ Brooklyn: Gorgeous name!! My fav off your list!! LOOOVE. <3
~ Forrest: Forrest Blake is cute.. though I prefer Blake Forrest.. hmm..
~ Flint: Aww little Ronan Flint!! Only thing is 'Flint' reminds me of a last name :/
~ Violet: Beautiful!! Sophia Violet is completely gorgeous. :P ;)
~ Ivy: Ivy Celeste is my fav!! Though Ivy reminds me of, poison Ivy D:

I also looooove the name Lily!! and im liking Aspen lately!!

Doesn't ruin it for me ;) I think a lot of names honestly sound moreso like a strippers than Willow, ie Jasmine, Destiny, etc. And any name (just about haha) could be seen as a negative way. Cause all it takes is one person to be named a name and then the name is perminently bad. Such as Adolph. A million people, good people, have been named Adolph. But, the one person who did terrible things scarred a good name. Though Willow is nowhere near that lol. Idk if this makes any sense, but oh well!

I agree! I'm not sure why, but it has this sort of charm to it... Schuyler ;) It's frilly looking, in a sense. But not... and it doesn't look quite as hippy hehehe! :D

I LOOOVE Charlottes web! And Fern ;)

Hehe, no worries! Juniper would be June-ih-per. June is just like June lol! ih like the i's sound in bid. Per rhymes with fur. lol! But jumper... kinda. Like, the clothing? Almost like overalls lol? We don't commonly use it, but I'm kinda familiar with the word haha

Thanks!!! Emma Lark has been off and on my list :x It's been battling with Emma Shiloh and Emma Scarlett, though Emma Scarlett off I think cause I loooove Ava Scarlett :P So Emma Lark or Emma Shiloh... <3

Brooklyn, I certainly love! And Forrest, I'm still deciding on haha. I love it, but then I don't. So wishy washy! Haha! I do love Ronan Flint at the moment! I guess Flint does sound like a last name, actually... Sophia Violet... I'm pretty sure I saw that on Yas's name list and I love it! I hope she doesn't mind if I swipe it :) But every time someone brings it up, poisin Ivy does bother me! Especially seeing as I'm seriously allergic! :x But it still has an elegant feel <3

Lily <3 It's so young and girly sounding! I'm unsure if I like it still though! Idk haha!

I like a few nature names ... Ivy, Iris, Violet, Juniper and Wren are among my favorites.

My best friend in the whole world is named Robin. Her mom is a teacher and her only consideration when naming Robin and her brother was that she couldn't have ever had a student with the name she picked. Robin has come across a few other Robyn's but they always spell it with a y. (Proving that changing I's to Y's is nothing new). Robin always likes to think that she is the original Robin and all the other Robyn's are just pretenders :) The only thing she doesn't like about her name is the lack of nn possibilities. (Me and my sisters all have nn's and she likes that).

I'm sure you've heard me mention several times that my Grandpa's name is Lark. So I can't really picture this name on a girl...though I recently learned that the other girl name my mom was considering naming me was Lark Ann (Lark is my mom's dad and Ann is my dad's mom)... and she planned on calling me "Lark Ann" my dad wasn't a fan so they named me Katherine Ann after my dad's sister instead.

But overall I think nature names are great in moderation...I don't think I'd use any in combination or for siblings.

Oh, yeah, Hunger Games is brilliant! Full of nature names, actually... I can't think of many other off the top of my head, though... Only Katniss (girl) and Gale (boy).

Hehe, Grampa River is so sweet, though! And Riv is such a strong nickname <3

I love nature names.

I've always liked the girls name Lotus as a guilty pleasure. I knew a girl in high school named Lotus.
