Not a big fan of George. From what I have read, the Queen has veto rights! I, too, would have liked to see a less used "royal" name (Alexander, David, Edward, John, Nicholas, Stephen, Thomas) or Philip after William's grandfather. Oh, well, not my child!

I actually like the full name. George Alexander Louis, it'll age well and sounds great on paper.

That being said, I can't see calling a sweet baby George, maybe Gorgie or something equally baby like (: (My mom and I are kinda routing for Prince Xander, just to be different) (:

I think they did a great job naming him. Plus he can choose his own name to be known by when he's king right? I seem to remember that from one of the news shows, he won't necessarily be King George the 7th.

For me, the name is...unremarkable. I guess that's what you have to settle for when you're a royal? :P
Kidding, kidding...not really.

Actually no she doesn't have any control over baby's names now. No monarchy does but they use to in the past.

The duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a son just a few days ago! What did they name him? I bet you're asking!

George Alexander Loui

Thoughts? At least it's not something crazy! I do like it.

I didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me. I like that it's a classic name and not something odd and strange. I love the couple! Bless them all. :)

I love George Alexander <3 not as much Louis, but it isn't bad. It is good in the combo.

Is it pron. Lou-ee or Lewis?

Just thought I'd share, I was in London during the birth of the royal baby. Lol I had a layover there coming back from my summer trip and it was perfect timing.

It's pronounced Loo-ee, because it's of French origin. Lots of people mistake it for another spelling of Lewis though, mainly because of the S on the end I'd guess. Luis is prn the same as Lewis, but Louis is not.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I like it :) Not a fan of Louis, but George Alexander is sweet. I would have voted for George Alexander Henry James, but oh well.... I still like it!
