So I have a daughter named Acadia after the National park in Maine. We are from Maine and I would love to name our next children after Maine places as well. I'm fairly certain that our next son will be Elliot Michael nn Leo after Elliot, Maine but would love suggestions. So far our list consists of
Girls:
Calais (like Alice but with a c)
Chace
Dallas
Hartland (maybe spelling it Hartlyn to make it look more like a name)
Hollis
Shapleigh

Boys:
Elliot
Milo
Conary
Lionel
Madicken
Otter
Reiche (pronounced RYE key)

I know some don't seem like names but they are important to us. So what do you think and do you have any suggestions?

My favorites are Calais, Hollis, Elliot, and Milo. Only thing is I've always pronounced Calais the French way --> kaLAY. If you use this version, they would actually make good combos too.

Hollis Calais

&

Milo Elliot

So cute!! :(

I like Calais if it's pronounced how Malligal says, kaLAY, I think it would pair well with Acadia. But Calais, sounding like Alice... reminds me of callus like, foot callus :-/

I like Hollis, I have a good friend with that name.

For your boys names, I like Elliot, Milo, and Reiche.

Some suggestions:

Boys:
Anson (Town)
Benton (Town)
Easton (Town)
Gray (Town)
Harrison (Town)
Holden (Town)
Hudson (Town)
Knox (County)
Sumner (Town)

Girls:
Aurora (Town)
Brooklin (Town)
Charlotte (Town)
Chelsea (Town)
Harmony (Town)
Liberty (Town)
Mercer (Town)
Paris (Town)
Presley (Lake)
Verona (Town)

In Maine, we pronounce Calais like Alice. My daughter's names is Acadia Eden so we won't be using Acadia again. I like Knox and Hudson but the only person I know named Hudson is a girl. Hartland/Hartlyn is really growing on me. What do you all think? middle names?

I LOVE Hudson on a boy! I like Hartland, but ONLY on a boy, Like, Hartlan, or Harlen as a twist on the name.

i like Elliot Michael. Elliott Matthew is on my list (:
and Hartlyn Chase doesn't sound too unisex to me, you could spell Chase with a y, like Chayse.

Ok so I just talked to my husband and he likes Hartlyn but he thinks it might be too close to another one of our daughters' names... Copeland. What do you all think?
BTW We have
Reade Alexandra
Kendra Jean *Kenji*
Ross Gaetano
Simone Savit *Simi*
Orin Thomas *Ori*
Copeland Pierce
Acadia Eden *Cadi* / Kai Louis

Considering Elliot Michael *Leo* and Hartlyn Chayse

I think that Hartlyn is close to Copeland, yes. But I don't think that it's too close to where you couldn't use it. I actually think using both names would be cute.
