I was just wondering since Bailey is a decently common boy's name but I was just thinking Baylee would be kind of cute on a boy but is it too feminine for when he grows up?

For a boy I think it would be better spelled as Bailey (alternate spellings like Baylee tend to "feminize" names).

For the most part, I'd go with no. Bailey is the spelling I'd say to use if giving this name to a boy...Baylee just 'looks' too feminine.
However,
I do feel like if you go with Bay as a nickname, that looks more masculine. And Lee is the masculine way to spell the name...
Based off that, it should be more masculine but I'd still say it's not.

I think Baylee looks feminine to me because of its similarity to Kaylee. Bailey is a very handsome name for a boy!

I agree with the pp's. Go for Bailey, not Baylee. Great name!

Bailey gets my vote. I agree that alternative spellings are usually feminine, especially if an extra "e" or "y" is dropped into the name.

Or consider Baylor?

I immediately think of a girl when I hear Baylee. If you love it, maybe you could use it as a middle name and pair it with a more masculine first name like Michael, Andrew, Jonathan, Joseph, etc.

I would definitely go with the spelling BAILEY if you choose to use this for a boy.

Good luck!

I love the suggestion of Baylor! He can go by Bailey if he/ya'll choose, and then use the more dignified full name when he's older!

I think Bailey is really handsome personally! I know it's so common on girls now but personally that isn't a deterrent. It's totally normal to have masculine names on girls. Why not the other way around? I would spell it Bailey for a boy though.
