I like Alexandra, but really do not like the inevitable nickname of Alex. So I've looked at Alessandra as an alternative, which has been boyfriend approved

I've also looked at alternate pronunciations as all I really like. Just wondering what your preferred pronunciations are?

Alice-on-druh
Alice-un-druh

Or anything else? I like all, just need to select one!

This might be because of the way i pronounce Alice but I don't see Alessandra as having Alice in it

Ah-liss-on-Druh kind of

but I have been told that we have harsher A's where I'm from maybe it isn't as big of a difference to other people.

Also the only pronunciation I've ever heard of Alessandra was as a last name so that could also be a factor
