Being put on complete bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy is not fun, however, it has allowed me A LOT of downtime. I was browsing through Facebook last night and came across a 'birth announcement' from an old friend of mine from high school (many years ago ;) ) I was so excited to see that the baby, a girl, was healthy and that the mom was doing good as well. Of course that's when my name obsession kicked in. I clicked on the picture to see if they had allowed the public to know her name. And her name is..... ANIME. No middle name, just Anime.

I know that they could have used different names for the same pronunciation. (Ex.: Anna-Mae, Anya-Mae, etc.) But Anime?

What are your thoughts ladies?

Hmm.. a bit silly, but Anna-Mae would have been a million times more adorable than Anime. Though I'm not a fan of the Anime books in general, but still... ehh. Maybe when the babies older she can change her name to Anna Mae ;)

My fiance's sister married a man who's grandmother is named Anna May and she always gets good natured jabs about it being like Anime but I couldn't imagine a child actually being named Anime...... I think what probably happened is they wanted Anna Mae/May but wanted a "unique" spelling for it ad may not have fully realized that there is a hing j=such as Anime. (But you never know.....)

I have to agree... Anna Mae would have been so much nicer! I wonder if they spelled it 'Anime' on purpose...
