I just watched a movie called Teenage Dirtbag (which was actually very good! I'd definitely recommend it. ) and the main character's name was Thayer. I think it's a really nice name, very handsome and it looks great written IMO, but sometimes when they said it in the movie it sounded like someone with a heavy southern accent saying "Their", which threw me off a bit.

What do you guys think?

I agree. It looks cool on paper but I am not sold on the pronunciation. This is also the name of a character in one of my favorite books 'I Know This Much is True' by Wally Lamb
