I saw/heard this today, I heard it pronounced two different ways, CRAY-TON and CREE-TON. Now when I heard it was not on a child, but instead the name of a bridge around where I live and I immediately thought of it being a name that could fit with all the surname trends that have been popping up. Especially the -ton, -ron and -son ones like Greyson, Brighton, Dawson, Leighton, Benson, Braxton, etc etc.
So ladies, thoughts? Cree-ton or Cray-ton? Combos?

I like Cray-ton. Either would suit a little boy, though! Combos? I don't know.

I'm really not a fan and would honestly advice against using it. The pronunciation that came to me first was Cree-ton. A cretin, pronounced Cree-ton, is someone who is stupid and or brainless. A horrible association.

Thats what I was thinking! I've never even heard it before now and it was a bridge, much less on a kid or person in general, but I thought it was interesting enough to share

When I saw it I automatically thought Cray-ton. Kinda like Clayton, but "more unique" I guess? Or like crayfish 
Though I'd only think crayfish cause I pick them out of the water when I see them. Idk random 
I suppose it does sound surnamey when you put it next to other ones..

I'll be honest...I'm not a fan at all. It sounds made-up to me. I would probably wonder if the parents combined their two names (which is not a bad thing/idea). I don't know, I much prefer Leighton and Greyson or Peyton over Creighton. Maybe it'll grow on me?

Needless to say their parents were big Creighton fans. I have a pretty huge obsession with surnames so I definitely think it's usable.

I would say it CREE ton similar to LEIGH=LEE
But I have to say, I'm not a fan. The word Cretin (pronounced the same) is used as a derogatory term meaning a stupid or mentally handicapped person.
If you like the CRAY ton pronunciation. I would suggest spelling it Crayton or Craighton ?
