I am due March 4th with a little boy.I told my mom the name I had chosen for my little boy and she told the rest of my family and they really dislike it.Ever Since they found out what I was naming him they have been discouraging me about using it.Mostly my oldest brother.Every chance he gets he tells me how much he hates the name Ezra that he will be picked on all his life and grow up hating me for giving him the name.My Brother also said Ezra was a queen name that I should give my son a decent name etc... also keeps texting telling me other names I should use..My sister in law also got in on it and said that she would never call him by Ezra only EZ..They also went on about how it was hard to pronounce.. anyways he will he due soon I was set on the name but now not so much.Can anyone cheer me up about the name?? Is your son named Ezra does anyone have trouble with the name??

Honestly, I like the name! So do a lot of other people. The social security administration ranks it at #143 in its list of most popular boy names in the US in 2013. They rank the top 1000 every year ... so you are not alone in loving it! Ezra was a prophet in the Bible and means "help." Hope this helps!

Ezra is my long-time favorite boys name! I absolutely love it! Go with a name you love, don't worry about your family. They'll learn to love it when it's on your precious baby boy!

I have a class mate names Ezra, and have always thought it was really cool. If it is the name you loved so much, it will be perfect on your baby.

Ezra is a wonderful name. It is your child, name him what you want. My mom dislikes the name I have picked out for our next baby if it is a boy, but she will just have to deal with it.
