I love Koda/Kota as a nickname. However I can think of nothing to use it as a nn for other than Dakota, which will always be the trouble maker friend of my sister. Lakota is a no-go.
Nakota is a legitimate name but looks a bit made up. I go to school with a boy named Nicotah but while I like this spelling better it still seems made up.
Any ideas? I'm brain dead right now.

I think its cute enough to be a name on its own(:
I'd go with Koda though(:

I think Koda/Kota on its own is very handsome, I've considered using it on its own! :) It doesn't sound very "nick namey" like Tommie or Benny would be. It makes me think of the bear on Brother Bear though, looove <3 I think any variation you make up will sound made up, lol. I guess you could try Nakota, Makota, Zakota, or even Koden or something, but I can't think of an established name that resembles Koda/Kota to be a nick name :(

I always thought that Cota or Coda looked very attractive though :) If that helps any. GL!

My phone actually wants to autocorrect Koda into Kodak. I'll probably put Koda on my GP list or use it as middle name.

If ever I get another dog, it's going to be named Koda. I can't think of any full names for it though other than Dakota.
