I've been crushing on Rocky lately. It has that 1950's feel that I really love.

However, I would want it as a nickname instead of an actual given name.

I'm wondering if you guys could help me brainstorm what I could use it as a nickname for.

I guess technically it could be for any name, nicknames like Scout and Buddy are used like that, but I think I'd prefer it to be at least slightly based off of the name.

I thought of Ronan but don't love it. I know Rocky is technically for Robert(o), but I'm not big on that.

So any feedback/ideas please! :)

I absolutely LOVE Rocky. I had Raquel *Rocky* on my list for a while. I like them on both genders, but more preferably girl...but here's some suggestions-

Rocco
Rockefeller
Brock
Rockwell
Rockford
Roark(e)
Roderick/Broderick
(kind of a stretch though)

Like any? It was kind of tough thinking of full names, lol :P

thank you, Karina!!

I really like Rockwell and Rockford. I wish I could get away with using Rockefeller and still stay out of politics!

Immediately I cringed, because Rocky comes off as a dog name to me, but as a nickname I don't think it would be too bad.

Karina got all the main ones. Anything I can offer here would be looser... And like you said, it could really be for anything. I'd say any R name you like could work.

Rogan (like Brogan but without the B )

Rudy (although this one offers handsome Rue as a nn)

Reagan

Ronan

Ronald

Rowan

Russell

Rocky is cute. I've seen it for Roxanne and Rocco.

Cant think of any that haven't been suggested though :( maybe some "rick" names could go as Rocky as well :)
